metallica fans love metallica. while in a hardcore metalhead's perspective those particular songs are at the bottom of the list of head banging, they are still excellent songs - especially if you are in the right mindset for them.

Metallica by far is the best band ive ever listened to. Im only seventeen years old and listening to them compared to bands today is no contest. They make great music back then and still now. Not saying bands today suck but they are by far a shit ton better due to the fact they dont let tech. change their sound. They sound amazing live and i will always listen to their music.

This song is great. It speaks to me as inspiration to overcome adversity. "Set sail!" and become unchained from your own fear and "now cast away."
You sum it up perfectly. I had a long and deep relationship with Metallica during a very different, very distant time in my life. Nice to see them still together, wish them well, maybe we'll bump into each other from time to time, but I'll never never again sit in a darkened room with my head between the speakers saturating myself in the music. I'm different, my life is different, and the band is different. It's better if we don't try to pretend it could ever be like it was.
