As someone who does mostly like Jones, I still consider GSP the GOAT. To me, he is just the embodiment of a true martial artist. It's true that Jones' record is arguably better in terms of wins as well as potentially competition, but GSP was just a true martial artist. No failed drug tests, respectful almost all the time, always about bettering himself, and always about learning new skills and disciplines. This is probably influenced by the fact that I have done martial arts for a long time and my sensei always taught me that respect and discipline are two of the most important factors, and of course, Jones has not always exhibited those.

Heavyweight is the easiest division, because no one actually has legit skill such as a jon Jones who has been wrestling all his life and doing jiu jitsu and trains his stand up as well but most heavyweight you see dont have a six pack or are built and actually have a good background in martial arts, most of them rely on their sheer strength and power, the only real people I see who have good potential is someone like a tom Aspinall who has a good jiu jitsu base and he has good hands, other than that I don't know because we all thought Gane would have more to offer but apparently all you need to do is take him down and sub him and he crumbles, these heavyweights need to train hard for real

I'm not sure why that Cruz/Cejudo stoppage was controversial looking back at it now. Cruz was eating shots on the ground, not defending himself at all, and he buckled after one of the hits.

Heavyweight is the easiest division, because no one actually has legit skill such as a jon Jones who has been wrestling all his life and doing jiu jitsu and trains his stand up as well but most heavyweight you see dont have a six pack or are built and actually have a good background in martial arts, most of them rely on their sheer strength and power, the only real people I see who have good potential is someone like a tom Aspinall who has a good jiu jitsu base and he has good hands, other than that I don't know because we all thought Gane would have more to offer but apparently all you need to do is take him down and sub him and he crumbles, these heavyweights need to train hard for real

Judging by the video, Jones did not even have to fight Gan. He was immediately given the victory without a fight.

The Cejudo vs Dom stoppage was not late at all in my opinion. Dom was pretty much out...
It was early. Most likely he was gonna get knocked flat in another 3 seconds but still, it was early. He was still posting to get back to his feet.

@@H.K.5 it wasn’t a terrible stoppage for sure. He was getting his ass whooped. But you can’t say he wasn’t posting up trying to get to his feet.
I honestly think that Jones vs Gane outcome speaks more about Gane than Jones. But, Jones is no doubt one of the greats.
Hate that Gustafson finish Jones hit the back of his head like 4 times before going to the other angle😂
