Xiao Zhan portrays 3 stages of Wei Ying perfectly. Wei Ying with all the innocence still in him, playful and kind-hearted before the tragedies. Wei Ying being much more matured, burdened and cold but still full of righteous after luan zang gang and Wei Ying after 16 years, who is in between, matured but regained his smile and playfulness back.
how how? he lost his golden core. he's suppose to be normal. even if it's demonic cultivation, it's cultivation nonetheless and you can't cultivate without gold core. so what's up with that and on top of that what's up with being powerful even if he dabbled?

I re-watched TU a second time and I realized what LZ meant when he said that crafty tricks could play on your temperament. He wasn't kidding, WY easily loses his cool and constantly needs LZ or Shijie to pull him back. That being said, Xiao Zhan really did an excellent job at showing that side without making it look over-the-top.
Actually, he was very peaceful while living in Burial Mounds despite not having LZ or Shijie. Something about that place/life leashed his breakdown... Why touch him, and not let him exist? He didn't hurt anybody there... He built a house, a little community, grew radishes, planted a kid on the field, he even grew lotus there... Like seriously... I am disgusted by these clan leaders. (My opinion is based on TU btw)

This is one of my favorite scenes. When he takes that drink, and when he calls out that who can stop him if he wants to kill someone you could tell he's seeing the clan for what it is.

Most of the clans were spinless cowards and fools, including the majority of Jiang and Lan. Like, how is it possible that only Zhan and XiChen question the teachings of their clan when it comes to say who is right or wrong, who is bad and who is good, and so on. Wei Ying really left his mark on the absolutely hypocritical world of cultivation.

The plot is so good. It make you feel disappointed in Jiang Cheng because of his inferiority complex. He becoming the clan leader puts him in the limelight of comparison with Wei Ying which exacerbates the issue even more.

The one with 20 episodes is the same thing, just longer time span. I watch both of them many times now. I just watched the 50 episodes again couple of weeks ago. Untamed is a true masterpiece, I just don't want it to end.
