I love how she compliments the dog as she works. She has so much respect for the animals she works with. And she isn’t aggressive or too rough. I absolutely love her technique!
I look at this video over and over again. I have my first poodle (coming from working setters with no show coat) and learning to cut my puppy Myra in this. I learn new detail for every re-watch. ^_^ Thanks for sharing!
I have a standard poodle puppy from champion/grand champion lines, just over a year old. I have probably watched this video at least 100 times...and keep coming back. Kay Peiser is SO amazingly informative. What a woman! The footage and clarity of the video is excellent. I've been a paid subscriber on other grooming platforms, and they are great....but this video is my go-to every single night before drifting off to sleep. Wish BisB would do more! Cheers 🥂 🐩
Stunning pup and so well trained! He is adorable..just found your channel! I have had Standards most my adult life..fabulous breed ..i am in Poodle heaven watching this...Kay's knowledge is precious..and i do agree 100% regarding balance..invaluable information! ♥️🐾🐩
Constructive criticism and feedback on the video format ... I would be able to focus more on the groomers instructions without the commentator saying "yup" "ok" "exactly" etc. To me, the point of the video is to learn the stylist's techniques, and not to listen to the camera person "agreeing" as well as her irrelevant input. It is difficult to focus on the actual instructional part of the video, therefore, I am moving on ...
Thank you very much for the feedback. I can edit more out in the future. I do hope you were able to get something out of the video. Kay and Tiffany did share a lot of very valuable information.
I'm not sure if you have any videos of grooming on toy poodles, especially what you discussed about starting them when they are first born. Especially what tools, clippers, etc you would use for tiny 5 lb poodles.
All of these videos are so nice and helpful 💖 I hope you'll be able to make some about newfounland and cavalier king charles spaniel grooming videos soon 😍
I’m so glad that you are enjoying the videos! I am adding new breeds all the time. It’s just a matter of getting them edited honestly! Thank you so much for the awesome suggestions
That poodle has an amazing coat! I have a new now regular client of a poodle and her coat is like a dry wooly mess! Oh and that's an improvement from when she was first brought to me. She now comes for regular 6 week full grooms and weekly brush outs. The leave in conditioner doesn't seem strong enough. I use The Stuff, because it has silicone (for a slick). Is there a better product i could use?
I have a ten week old standard poodle. How do you get him to stand still? When cleaning the paw pads, how do you determine how far back to go up the paw. I went back to dew claws and it looks like it’s too far back
In uk and love ya work stunning and so much advice love it 👌🏻 Love to listen and get tips from you. I’m a novice an yet to show. Takin in all tips as I can for it . I just want to get in. Looking at dogs and grooming
I’m so glad you found my little spot here on UA-cam! I have many new videos in the works. And I still have the adult trims for the poodles to edit 😉 I highly recommend watching other breed videos because there are a lot of tips that can be used on any breed! Would love to hear what you think
The breed that I would really want to see for grooming is the Papillon. I applaud every single person that has to groom thick/long/double coated dogs because damnnnnnn that's a arm work out. But what I got curious about is that she said that the puppy is going to Australia to finish his championship. So it doesn't matter in each country they finish for them to qualify for Westminster for example?
Oh yeah I know I could not do that much work I have a hard enough time brushing my own hair and I would call myself double coated LOL You can get a champion title in multiple countries on the same dog. Obviously the champion title in America is to AKC but FCI would be who the other countries would be through I believe. Westminster is an American/AKC event so only AKC wins as far as I know would qualify you but you also have the championships through FCI at the world dog show
Australia is ANKC (Australian National Kennel Club). From what I understand though, AKC titles are still transferable to ANKC, as my Puppies Grandfather was Titled in AKC in the states, before he was imported into Australia and used for stud.
How do I find a good groomer who can groom my show poodle for me? Or a groomer that can teach me how to do maintenance at home? I plan to do puppy cut til a year and then modern/sporting for the rest of his show career.
Honestly it truly depends on the size of the dog. What variety of the breed are we talking? For a standard a hydraulic one might be the best but for a toy, one by midwest would work fine
Banding allows the hair to be kept up from the face. Sometimes dogs will chew on it. It will also keep it clean when they eat. Other breeds like Afghan hound and Havanese have their entire coat banded and wrapped around for the same reasons

Thank you for not selling specific brands that are too expensive and not necessary. That means so much to me.

Thank you for the tip about Jeris Hair Tonic. I managed to find it in the UK.

Can you do smooth collie and Golden Retrieval
I am wondering if Kay is using blenders and chunkers or just chunkers. Could you kindly tell me which brand you use? Thanks.
which dryer works best out of the two dryers as a starter?
Hello need some help. Whats the best brand shampoo for a teacup poodle? I got a itchy fellow.
I would love to see both smooth and long coat chihuahua
Does Kay Peiser breed the Chinese Crested's? I am very interested in Chinese Crested's and would love to know if Kay has a website.
Yes she most definitely breeds Chinese crested and they are magnificent. You can look her up on Facebook
How do I find a good groomer who can groom my show poodle for me? Or a groomer that can teach me how to do maintenance at home? I plan to do puppy cut til a year and then modern/sporting for the rest of his show career.
Of course
What brand of dog food does Kay use?
What was the Jeris product?
which grooming table does the breeder use ?
Honestly it truly depends on the size of the dog. What variety of the breed are we talking? For a standard a hydraulic one might be the best but for a toy, one by midwest would work fine
I just reread your statement OMG I am so sorry I will ask Kay
Is this Kylen’s poodle kennel, or am I wrong?
How are his nails so short? I buff my dogs nails near weekly (including my 11week old poodle puppy) but they aren't that short.
Are you using a Dremel?
@@BestInShowBitch Yes,
what does banding do?

Aw man, shaved face. But the poodle is still adorable because of its floof! Good job grooming!
Totally floof!!!! 😜
Shaved face is preferred as it reduces dirt! It shows off the face and beauty of this breed 😎👌🏻 Shes fabulous her dogs are lovley
Only clean shaven faces are acceptable for showing.
Pets can have mustaches, beards..
Fun!
❤️
Best ever
I appreciate you, wannt be youtube friends?
The interviewer talks annoyingly too much .
