As others say below; an inspired mechatronics project. I was particularly impressed with the construction detail; from design and PCB ordering, to use of hot melt glue to speed assembly of test mcn. You have given me the "kick" I need to complete my own project which involves filling bottle on a rotating platform, albeit with alcohol and to different depths. The demo convinced me to use Arduino processor. Tkx
Neat video! realistically you can’t use this type of pump, it’s not food safe. You’d probably want to use a peristaltic pump. The lack of feedback in the open system is also a concern, you’ll get uneven filling and possibly the motor could slip and you’d start missing the bottles. A cooler problem would be putting the caps on! I’d love to see your solution to that one!
Really, its a very good project. But need just to suggest some modifications. 1- You can add a level sensor so you can ensure your bottles are filled properly. 2- Also, you may need to add a position sensor to ensure that the bottle is present and exactly under the filling hose.
Great video showing how to incorporate Arduino with practical manufacturing operations. A speed control for the water pump, (ramp-up, full speed, ramp-down) at the beginning and end fill cycle would be a practical means for standardizing fill accuracy. There is a market for tooling-up small business productions using your Arduino skills.
The precision of this is awful for production. Just compare the last two fills. Looks to me these are 30ml fills but the last two look 3-5ml different. It's great for a hobbyist but it doesn't have a place in industry.

This is an amazing project. Have you ever considered using Peristaltic Pump with Stepper Motor? I am looking to design my own project that is very similar to this one but does not require bottles. I am wanting to design a way to do Automatic water changes on my saltwater reef aquariums. Saltwater (and freshwater) aquariums require regular water changes in order to keep certain chemical parameters in check. (Calcium, pH, Magnesium, Alkalinity, etc) The way this is accomplished is that once per week, 10% of the total volume of the aquarium's water is removed and is then replaced by new saltwater that has been prepared ahead of time. Most people remove 10% of the total water volume all at once using 5 gallon buckets and then replace the used saltwater with new saltwater using 5 gallon buckets. This is okay and all, but the BEST way to accomplish this would be to remove the 10% over the course of an entire week and also add the new saltwater (10%) over the course of a week. This is best accomplished using a Peristaltic Pump with a Stepper Motor. Do you think that you could assist me with designing this? I would be more than willing to compensate you for your time. Please reply to this if I can contact you.
You sir are a genius. Very professionally done and very simple explanation. I am new to your channel and now a subscriber. Please keep making more of these videos. 👍
I really like this - FYI you are missing the resistors, the stop sensor, and the female headers for the arduino and the stepper motor controller. Been having a hard time working directly off of your parts list. You should update this.
Excellent!! Thank you ! Please please bring other project , I love to see what you will share next. Person like you supposed to be the professors in university. What makes it special is it is complete, the 2$ board cool !!
brother this is very nice.... great work.... i m also doing a project where I want to control the liquid quantity so that circuit gets auto cut after dispensing a specified amount of liquid. I want to know how you dispense exactly 60 ml liquid in this project?
It's a great project. Really nice design and execution. Can we make a small machine run automatically using two stepper and one DC motor? I want to make it for our client.
Cool DIY brother, one plus thing you did is to include links to those parts, that helps a lot. I'm waiting for the code and sketch before buying those parts. Greetings from Tanzania 🇹🇿
First of all I would like to congratulate you in this amazing project that you just builded because it’s more than perfect. It inspired me a lot to build something like this as well. All the success in your wonderful journey
My team and I did that exact same thing for my Microcontroller class' final project. We instead use an MCU from Cypress with the m8c architecture (owned and developed by Cypress). This one works smoothier haha
@@EasyHomeMadeProjects I think one could use a laser or something else directional to gauge the filling level. Then you set a sensor to watch the laser or led, and when the refraction angle changes and the light can no longer be seen, the bottle should be full.
Nice project....if you can attach a servo or gear motor with the water pipe stand which working ends on filling bottles....i mean before of the filling the stand set up her own place and after ends filling move down the stand.... This concept give this video full fill ness.. I can believe it..
Thank you for this. I am impressed with the quality of everything. The blue color of the water is a nice touch.

It means the same tools can be used for large project.
We just need to change hardwares else
Technical tools should be same

What method do you use to provide power the Nano? And how many volts? USB, 5V pin, Vin.
I love it ❤️
Great work done 👍👌
That's great project. Look forward for pcb
Did is Water pump work follow timer setting for top level of bottle? Thank Bro?
sir i need this circuit can u provide source to purchase in pakistan?
Sir please provide code pcb
Need code
Very impressive - nice project, beautifully presented. Thanks for sharing.
Superbly Done it without geneva wheel and mechanism
👏👏
Nice Project
How did you maintain the water quantity??
Can i use any other motor than using stepper motor ? Please reply .
No
This is a good job man thank you for sharing
It's a matter of sorrow to see you buying dc pump instead of making. You're the boss of homemade water pump.
You need machine precision tool to build high speed pump. Maybe he do not have the tool...
Thanks . Any update regarding the code and the circuit?
Thanks for the good work
Can it is used for the business use ?
Good project indeed👊
Please were is the link of the picture to make it at jlcpcp
Can you explain the pcb design
Hi, what power source do you use for this project?
Can I know what is the power source too ?
15VDC 3A TO 5A
Cool project!, i already made it,i want to ask how much volt for the power supply do you use?,i use 12v adaptor with 1A its not enough
I use 15v 1amp maybe 2 amp better
Where is the arduino code

this machine can custome the bottle?
Sir i want to make rotating plate like this having stop timing 3 sec then what can i do?
How do you measure the liquid in the bottle, do you use a distance sensor or is it due to the filling time?
Flow rate of water pump + time
Hi, nice video. Just wonder how is the timing for the pump start/stop and for the step motor to turn. Thank you in advance.
Provide the link for the bearing
Hello is this for sale? Can you make me one? Thanks!
