- अयोध्या में एक विशाल राम मंदिर का निर्माण चल रहा है, जिसके लिए दुनिया भर से भक्त, करोड़ों रुपए दान कर रहे हैं. लेकिन इसी अयोध्या में क़रीब दो सौ मंदिर ऐसे भी हैं, जिन पर ध्यान नहीं दिया गया तो इन पुराने मंदिरों के खंडहर भी शायद नहीं बचेंगे. क्या होगा इनका और इनसे जुड़ी जिंदगियों का? चुनावी माहौल में सारा ध्यान उस अयोध्या पर टिका है जहां राम मंदिर का निर्माण हो रहा है, लेकिन एक दूसरी अयोध्या भी है जो कैमरों की नज़र से ओझल है. दूसरी अयोध्या से मिलिए बीबीसी की इस विशेष रिपोर्ट में.

I am from a nearby town. In Ayodhya there are thousands of temples built by each caste, panchayats and royal families from across India. In past these temples were managed by the Biradari/caste people, families. Whenever people visit Ayodhya they usually stay in their own Biradari temples. As in past people used to live for months after many days of journey to Ayodhya it was a big crowded place in those Golden days.
Nowadays in modern India we do not have time to enrich our roots or stuck with caste, young generation even don't know they have a temple in Ayodhya from their caste. Also no one has time to stay in Ayodhya they just want to go back to home after darshan. This started fall of such old temples and golden days. All the earnings and funds stopped for these Biradari temples as no more stay in such temples and no events by Biradari.
This renovation can not be done by Govt alone. Only society can renovate their temples by crowd sourcing, and economical survival depends on tourists if they are allowed to rent some of the renovated rooms from these temples like in past days. 🙏
This is my request to everyone who read this comment, whenever you visit Ayodhya please search and stay in old renovated temples, rather booking an AC hotel room. This is the only way forward for us and to be blessed during your visit to Ayodhya. 🙏

Many many temples are under ownership of individual families. They earn lots of funds as donations but doesn’t want to spend money on Maintaince. All Sikh grudwaras are managed by SPGC managed by Sikh public , churches by Christian, masjid by Muslims.
Who manages Hindu temples. Not only temples but also schools and hospitals
All big temples are under the control of governments. Only Tirupati ji temple (under government’s control) have funds to manage all temples in India.

I love the Ramcharitmanas. It sits always on my desk, sharing desk space with mathematics. I read something from it almost every week. I listen to recorded recitals almost every other day. I live nine thousand miles from Ayodhya, but I feel connected because of the immortal words of Tulsidas. His is the most beautiful poetry I know of. In any language.
I do not have a good feeling about this big temple. My best wishes to all: to the Hindus, as well as to the Muslims! India belongs to all of us. It belongs to us all in equal measure. The bad days will pass.
Economy doesn't runs on emotions you have to understand the way india prevented its cultural heritage from invaders. अर्थव्यवस्था ऐसे नहीं काम करती है। हमें यह समझना चाहिये कि 500 साल पहले जब बाबर ने मंदिर तोडा और उस समय wo ताकतवर था तब लोगों के पास कोई और तरीका नहीं था और हमारे बाप दादा इतने समझदार थे वो जानते थे कि हो सकता है कि एक दो पीढ़ी में बच्चों को याद नहीं रह जाये कि यहां मंदिर था इसीलिए उन्होंने हर गली मोहल्ले में मंदिर बना दिया घरों को मंदिर में बदल दिया ताकि वो और उनके बच्चे संस्कृति नहीं भूलें अपनी। और वो सफल हुए और आज ये news वाले उस मुद्दे को reasons बताकर सरकारों को कोस रहे हैं। भाई अब main mandir बन रहा h इसका मतलब ये नहीं कि हर घर me पैसा de दें। खुद सोचो कि इतना मंदिर बना देंगे तो क्या इतनी भीड़ को अयोध्या सम्भाल पायेगा?

As you say now vrindaban is becoming social media content creation if that content is related to religious things then i think there should be no objection on it and if it relate to some other things like aaski or any other bad thing then the people of india should not see that content as if no body see that content then no body makes that content and respective authorities should take action on those peoples and if taking abou money then it is dark truth that in banke bihari mandir there is special provision give 500 to 600 rupees to the random people wondering on road asking for the vip dharsan and if you give them money they will directly take you too the main garbgrah of the temple skipping all the crowd and you can do vip dharsan easily so i think it should be better if you make a proper cooridor there so the crowd can be managed easily and not only the one with the money can do the darshan properly but also the one without money can do the dharsan easily, and for this money is needed as the cost of property is very much high there so it is difficult to buy that property with the daan and dhakshina coming in the temple. So govertment need to be involved there and by developing it as tourist place we can tell about our religion and culture to the other too. in history the temples are used as the modern day banks by the local peoples that is why the mugals invaded the temples to looted them even there are few temples in south of india present which have a lot of tresure present in it because the temples also serve as the banks at that time . As you say now vrindaban is becoming social media content creation if that content is related to religious things then i think there should be no objection on it and if it relate to some other things like aaski or any other bad thing then the people of india should not see that content as if no body see that content then no body makes that content and respective authorities should take action on those peoples and if taking abou money then it is dark truth that in banke bihari mandir there is special provision give 500 to 600 rupees to the random people wondering on road asking for the vip dharsan and if you give them money they will directly take you too the main garbgrah of the temple skipping all the crowd and you can do vip dharsan easily so i think it should be better if you make a proper cooridor there so the crowd can be managed easily and not only the one with the money can do the darshan properly but also the one without money can do the dharsan easily, and for this money is needed as the cost of property is very much high there so it is difficult to buy that property with the daan and dhakshina coming in the temple. So govertment need to be involved there and by developing it as tourist place we can tell about our religion and culture to the other too. in history the temples are used as the modern day banks by the local peoples that is why the mugals invaded the temples to looted them even there are few temples in south of india present which have a lot of tresure present in it because the temples also serve as the banks at that time . In karol bagh during childhood there was a small temple and hardly 10 people visited that temple.
This temple collected fundings and develop a 108 feet hanuman statue. The same temple attracted crowd which grew to nearly 200 to 500 to 1000s.
This shows that people are never attacted to God but to the crowd, grandiose and showy things.
Same is happening with Ayodhya.
Govt just demolished several small temples in the name of development of kashi vishwanath corridor. They cut an ancient tree as well.

I am from a nearby town. In Ayodhya there are thousands of temples built by each caste, panchayats and royal families from across India. In past these temples were managed by the Biradari/caste people, families. Whenever people visit Ayodhya they usually stay in their own Biradari temples. As in past people used to live for months after many days of journey to Ayodhya it was a big crowded place in those Golden days.
Nowadays in modern India we do not have time to enrich our roots or stuck with caste, young generation even don't know they have a temple in Ayodhya from their caste. Also no one has time to stay in Ayodhya they just want to go back to home after darshan. This started fall of such old temples and golden days. All the earnings and funds stopped for these Biradari temples as no more stay in such temples and no events by Biradari.
This renovation can not be done by Govt alone. Only society can renovate their temples by crowd sourcing, and economical survival depends on tourists if they are allowed to rent some of the renovated rooms from these temples like in past days. 🙏
This is my request to everyone who read this comment, whenever you visit Ayodhya please search and stay in old renovated temples, rather booking an AC hotel room. This is the only way forward for us and to be blessed during your visit to Ayodhya. 🙏

this is why GOI should free Hindu temples from their control. so that the revenue from richer temes can be used for the upkeep of smaller temples. Revenue from Hindu temples should go to the Hindus, not for paying salaries of msulavid and padres.
