Rephaising cylinders are common on farm implements like planters or tillage that need to raise or lower evenly. 2 or more are hooked in a series by the hoses. They are 2 way, and the outlet of the 1st one feeds the inlet of the 2nd one, which feeds a 3rd, and on and on. They move together w/o flow controls. They may not be accurate enough for a brake?? But may be something to look at. Ive been thinking about using them myself for one. They sure work well for my equipment. Surplus Center sells them.

I would put a rotary flow divider on the outlet side of the cylinder. They are slightly more expensive than a dfl type but more accurate at low flows.
