Well down review! I have a version from 2011. Oh man, it lasts and lasts. I definitely smell cherry, vanilla tobacco. When this was created in 2004, it was a major turning point for the Bogart House. They really started to make their fragrances sweet. One more tidbit: the same nose that created this also created Nautica Voyage. Those fragrances could not be any more different. It's 2023 and I discovered this gem. What a delicious scent. Lavender and tobacco ... what an amazing mix. It reminds a lot of Versace's The Dreamer, only this one evolves in 3 different ways. Perfect!
Great review. Just blind bought it and tried it yesterday. Synthetic burst but settles down nicely. Get plum like smell...surprisingly doesnt last on me. Still worth the buy.

Blind bought it half a year ago. Loving it, for me it is a soapy lavender bomb with that creamy tonka touch. I dont get the tobacco vibe at all, but i guess i might have a reformulation, because performance isnt beast mode at all. I do get around 7 hours with pretty good sillage ! In generall - very sophisticated scent i think, gentlemanly, comforting, grown up but not mature, signature scent potential.
I wasn't crazy about this when I first got it but it's honestly grown on me. It reminds me so much of those little cherry vanilla Prince Albert cigars me and my friends used to smoke back in middle school lol
I enjoyed it more when I initially got it and eventually was turned off by the strong sweetness in the scent, as my tastes developed I no longer enjoy sweet scents like this, so we had the opposite experience with this one lol. Thank you for watching and commenting Steven !

for me its joop homme (a little) + le male + versace the dreamer, jesus christ i love this fragrance man, absolutely manly conforting midly sweet smell. Goes also in the same vibe as montblanc presence, but sweeter.
Great review! Nailed it with the Pure Havane comparison. I owned BPH before I got TM Pure Havane. I love them both and they are both great performers. Still have to get Bogart signature. I'm waiting for my retailer of choice (in New Zealand) to get more stock. One Man Show / Gold / Ruby are all great and beasts!!😄😄 Maurice Roucel does some great frags. Ted Lapidus TL Pour Lui and Lalique PH are also great creations from him.

This one took a few wearings to appreciate. I do like this much more now! Bogarts take a while for me because they are intense fragrances. It takes me a while to find the place for them, like where they suit me best etc.

Hello from the UK! Love your reviews and the format. I just got my first bottle of Jacques Bogart Pour Homme (have several other JB's already) but I think it's a reformulation - weak performance and laughable longevity (this was from a reputable supplier - batch code is 19A31). With other JB's like OMS Oud Edition I expected a powerhouse delivery but the cupboard was shamefully bare. Have you encountered any problems with JB? I heard even OMS Gold Edition is now reformulated too - the universe is definitely broken! Cheerio - stay safe in these troubled times.
S Lawrence I ended up gifting this one to my younger nephew it was just to sweet for me I wanted to like it but I didn’t in the end, I much prefer the older classic JB fragrances like the original one man show especially, I have a vintage version on the way to me soon Im excited for that, hopefully the juice is still in good condition. Bought this for $20 shipped on eBay. Wow. This cologne is so good. Starts off citrusy fresh and then the dry down! That nice powdery/spicy (and smell a little tobacco too) Such a great cologne! Hidden gem.
Basically, Bogart company killed this beauty by reformulation and they should go to Jail for that Anyhow the old batch of Bogart pour Home was my Favorite, but after the reformulation I will not waste my money on it oh well, many thanks for the review.
This is a bargain at its price range. But after using Versace The Dreamer for years I'm done with sweet tobacco. Great stuff, just not for me. Same goes for Davidoff Zino.

Wore furyo for the first time today. It is crazy. I still like kouros better for the genre but it is a solid release and kept me interested. Cant wait to hear your thoughts on furyo. For me i had to grit my teeth for the first 15 min and then it does a course correction and turns into a pure love for me. -Ramsey

You missed it huge note in the base.... tonka bean ! I think that note in combination with the another gives the cherry tobacco vibe
