The best part is that at ghe end you take what is leaving the house, with you! That is so wonderful . Thank you for being a blessing to your psrents and family in helping them to declutter, God bless you❤😊
How cute that your nephew wants to help! I definitely am trying to do this with my parents currently but my mom is having a hard time letting go or even starting. Hopefully I can start the process at a slow pace to get her use to doing it. My parents room looks like a warehouse 😅 Great job in helping your mom organize and declutter her closet.
What a blessing you are to your folks. Happy to see she got rid of some stuff. Makes me sad that all that hard work and that closet is so jammed again. Keep up the good work. I hope some day your mom sees that all this "STUFF" is never going to make her happy. I am so thankful I dont have all that to leave for my children to deal with. There will come a day that everything we own will be left for our children to deal with. 😞
Mariela, you are an amazing and supportive daughter! Thank you for not giving up on your UA-cam channel I have told you this before but you are the woman who inspired me to tackle my parents garage. Believe me it was all because of you ❤ I enjoy your dialogues in your video. Professional public speaker in your future!
Thanks mom for this video. I take it back: Mom is interested in de-cluttering. I cannot believe how much was in that closet either LOL. Mom did great. Thanks for being so patient with her. Looking forward to more.
Great work!! I hope someday your parents will feel ready to declutter that chair from the bedroom altogether! It makes a big difference not having a large furniture piece making the room feel smaller, plus you can't use it as a clothing rack if it isn't in the space. Right now having it there makes it more difficult to access the closet so it's adding to the issue.
The vacuum sealed bags could slide under the bed. It would be nice if she would commit to a specific amount to keep, for the weight fluctuating, maybe just 1-2 bins. I dont understand why a lot of people want to have so many linens. 2-3 sets per bed is plenty, so you always have a clean set and maybe one for different weather. Linens/towels can be donated to animal shelters, at least in my area.
You & your mum did a great job Mariela 🙌 Any progress is a step forward to a less cluttered space BTW I'm 50 & I have no idea how to fold a fitted sheet 🤣
Fantastic! Kudos to your mom for letting go of so much and for letting you film the process! Tell her she looks pretty and photographs well! It must be the season to clear out closets, because I started just one section of my closet this past week. (I have two large closets side by side). I’m still in the process and didn’t want to overwhelm myself, so I started small, but the results are huge. I also decided to remove the clothing that is one size too small and in practically new condition and put in a container to be stored in the basement. That way it won’t be mocking me each day I look in the closet, 😂 I’ve lost 2 pounds in the last 6 days and plan to lose more, so there’s that. 😄 I am really looking forward to the video on the next section of her closet. 😊
Congratulations on getting started Please remember the animal shelters will take any linens, blankets or towels you want to donate. They use them to pad the cold metal cages they put dogs and cats in .....please remember animal shelters need donations too 😊😺🐶
Your mom is such a beauty! I hope she can accept her body because there's nothing wrong with it. She's probably perimenopausal like me and I know that, even if I was to lose some weight, my body composition/shape is never going to be the same as before. Hopefully, she'll just get rid of any small clothing after giving it some more thought but it was a great declutter for the first time going through her closet. Your nephew is an awesome helper and of course you are too!
as others have mentioned check out thr vaccum sealed bags; i used those for baby clothes and maternity clothes i was storing, it also keeps clothes smelling fresh... i kept mine on the top shelf of my closet and piled them up to the ceiling might be easier
Hi, I worked in an office for many years. I made a chart of all the outfits I could make with various combinations. No one needs so many clothes. Near Chicago, Tina, Al's wife
Great work both of you!! I wonder whether it might help to put some sort of label onto the black bags until you are able to get clear storage eventually so that you know what each contains without having open it
No judgement zone here. Use vinegar on the mold on the wall. U don’t want to use Clorox because it won’t kill the mold. Might I suggest space saver bags for blankets that aren’t being used. And I would clean out from underneath the bed and utilize that space for storage. Hope this helps. High five for helping your parents.
Thanks to you and your mom for showing the true messy parts of healing from clutter. They are lucky to have your support ❤
Thanks so much!
What an Angel you are to do this for your parents.
thank you. I just truly enjoy decluttering :)
I am always impressed at what a wonderful, devoted daughter you are.
thank you! I just love to help declutter :)

This is true, I think there's more stuff under the bed. I don't either, I only keep 2 sets. Thank you!

yes they're great. my mom was using those for storing other things if you saw at the end of the video but we could definitely use more :)

Her mom: I am embarrassed from the entire world to see my mess .
The daughter: I need content for my videos.
no..she didn't want me to show the whole room which I didn't. obviously she was with me to film the closet which she was fine with smh.
