- Hi Friends!! It’s another Stitch Fix unboxing and try on, as well as an update on the whole Style Pass saga….
If you aren’t familiar with Stitch Fix, it is an online fashion subscription service. You set up the frequency of the boxes you want to receive, and for a $20 styling fee, they will send you 5 items. You have 3 days to try on the items. Anything you don’t want, you send back in the prepaid mailer. Anything you do want to purchase, the $20 styling fee is applied. If you do not purchase anything, you will lose that $20 styling fee. I will list my link below to receive $25 off your first Fix. If you decide to use my link, I will also get a $25 credit! For pants, I normally take a size 10 and I need a inseam length of 30”-32” for skinny jean styles and for bootcut or straight leg, I prefer a 34” inseam.

Thank you for the Style Pass update. I wondered if it had more to do with you sending back all 5 several times than anything. That tracks. Did they know you have a channel before you emailed them?
As for the pieces, I'm bummed about the shoes for you. Personally, I'd love the blue top. But if you don't, you shouldn't keep it. It's just a matter of personal preference and style.

@tinasbestmidlife Hey Tina! Mine would renew in January, but we'll see. Personally, I think the true answer is the most obvious one: money. They're a business. They HAVE to make money. If someone isn't buying frequently enough, it isn't worth their expense in shipping and handling. That makes sense to me. What doesn't make sense is, like you said, not being forthcoming about it. That affects trust, and once you lose a customer's trust, you lose the customer. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
I won't be mentioning the Style Pass moving forward, and didn't in my last one because there's just so much uncertainty.
And yes, we're back in Lexington. We're Going probably going to find out today if she needs heart surgery or not. I did manage to film and edit my FabFitFun before we left. It will be out tomorrow morning. We'll see how it does! 🤞

We are our own worst critics, and I'm totally a member of that club, but I wish we could see ourselves as others do.
Nothing broken so far, except my heart a bit. Rachel told me last night that she has Covid, and she was with the entire family at my ex's house on Monday. I'll worry about her, but Henry was with her the entire time. I'm just praying that she only has a mild case, and that somehow Henry doesn't get it.

Hi Tina. Sorry you had to go through all that for basically nothing. Ya know something. We got a Marshall’s two years ago and monthly I go there and luckily I have been able to find 5 pieces and make my own fix with better quality and wayyy less expensive In most cases. Like Ralph Lauren Cynthia Rowley Wayf free people etc. I’m actually really enjoying this more. I will always be happy with getting a fix I enjoy stitch fix a lot; however I still am getting having fun with fashion on my terms. I do like gap and banana republic too. I guess I don’t understand it all either but I do think they are trying hard not to go under at this point. Shame what our economy has done to all businesses isn’t it. ? Thanks for your update on the pass Hope your fixes improve. It’s not cool losing $$$. I lost $180 with Wantable. I called them and to make me feel validated they issued a $20 credit. How nice. lol.i don’t understand how people are still getting their pass when some aren’t. Still no answer huh.

The navy shirt was definitely your color. But I understand about the puffy sleeves. Hard to wear sweaters or jackets over them. The dress was nice. I am with you I don't like clingy fabrics❤

I really like the navy shirt. The sleeves are dressy but also very feminine. I think it would be so cute with jeans and gold earrings for any occasion.

Hi, Tina! Stitch Fix needs to be transparent about the renewal of the Style Pass. They were never clear about who received it from the beginning which was a great marketing ploy . You certainly had to cross a certain spending threshold prescribed by some secretive metric. With the recent cutbacks and reorganization, the free Style Pass was next on the chopping block. I was not a fan of any of the pieces. Mine is to expire in November, and I fully expect to be “sunsetted.”It’s fine. I still enjoy your videos! I suspect you will be “sunsetting” much of Stitch Fix’s offerings. 😂

My style pass wasn’t renewed and I haven’t ordered a box since December and honestly I don’t miss it as I’ve gone through my closet and everything I donated was a SF piece…I’m ordering a Front Door Fashion every quarter and that works better for me…but I’m not a UA-camr…nothing in your box appealed to me and I think you can do better.

Appreciate that as a content create Stitch Fix fits into your life. Generally speaking seems like you often don't find anything you love. Personally I am really not buying much these days. Feel like my wardrobe is pretty complete. Love fall and winter dressing so if I find a sweater I love will make a exception. Hugs too Lou. He looks handsome as ever. 😊

Hmmm...super vague answer about the Style Pass. I think you're right about the SP being offered to people who spend a lot of money...simple answer. Honestly, it would make me reconsider the whole service. Losing $20 for a sub par box time after time is not worth it to me personally. Thanks for sharing your experience. This box was ok, but I'm not sure there's a keeper. The puff sleeve top does read kinda dressy with those sheer sleeves...not sure how I'd wear it. I agree that you really need to love what you keep.

I was told by stitch fix that the style pass was phased out. I bought so much from them over the years and so I canceled all future boxes.
Hi Pam! So you were told that too. Isn't it strange all the contradicting info out there on this?? If you have been purchasing a lot an they didn't renew, I can completely understand why you would just cancel the service!
They should let people know if they’re not renewing the style pass, that’s bad customer service. Mine was renewed.

The whole style-pass issue seems pretty fishy to me. You're right, they should have been honest right up front. It makes Stitch Fix look bad imo.

I think the style pass renewal seems pretty random. I got mine renewed, and I get monthly fixes and buy quite a bit. But others I know got theirs renewed and they get fixes really infrequently. Then many did not get theirs renewed. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do do away with it. But I know that lots of people are leaving SF now they don’t have the style pass. So it may be a mistake. It might be worth reinstating. .

Love the blue necklace with the white blouse. The dark blue top style looks on you, but i agree mixed media is difficult. I have watched your Stitch Fix style boxes for quite a while and I notice that the clothes are often not a great style, the colors are not quite right, the pants are too short, the fit is off or the price is too much. I have bought more clothes from WallMart after watching your videos. Maybe it is time to say good bye to Stitch Fix.

I gave up on Stitch Fix a couple months ago. I had my price limits set high, I had a bunch of stuff “liked” and I continued to get cheaper mixed media tops. I really felt like they just looked at my age (61) and sent me the Grandma collection. I’ll give my money to Wantable and Short Story instead.

Hi Tina they never renewed mine I have been pretty picky I think they’re trying to get rid of the stylus because I keep getting a generated note once in a while that’s really annoying. Just sounds like it’s from anybody.

I love your video uploads. For me, the entire box was a no. The dress was cute but if you didn’t feel comfortable in it, then it is a no. The pale tops were a no from the out set. The colors were just too bland. I agree with you about the navy top. Sometimes Stitch Fix can be a total no. I find I do better with Freestyle shopping with them.

Hi Kathy! I agree with you! I know I am a tough customer because in doing all these clothing videos, I don't NEED anything! I look at Stitch Fix as just a way to possibly find some things that I just love to add to my wardrobe.
The thing that did surprise me about not getting my style pass renewed was doing UA-cam videos on them. Even a small UA-camr like me gets sooo many offer from companies wanting their products mentioned in videos. It's great advertising for them. So that was the thing that surprised me.

Shoes no, not comfortable. Pink shirt, no color isn’t quite right on you. Tan shirt is good color but not really special. Dress, had sort of bat wings, fit just wasn’t right. Navy blouse looked too much like a work blouse, sleeves were too fancy for me. Send it all back. And I would be really disappointed in Stitch Fix and would consider cutting down on how many you get. You find cute clothes at Old Navy, WalMart etc…. I would say in your comments that as they make their decisions about their business model, you too have to make decisions on how many or if you will keep getting your boxes and I would maybe just get them when you feel like you want one or if they offer a free box. But I can be a little stubborn. Lol😊

I think you are getting a mix of manufactured misinformation. That said - I understand renewing the Style Pass for people who had made a higher level of purchases. Mine was renewed, and I definitely DO buy a lot - many 5/5's. There's likely an algorithm in place - Style Pass yes, Style Pass no, as relates to renewal based on purchase level. Perhaps not something that could be quantified only on spend though.
From a business standpoint this makes PERFECT sense. There is a great deal of expense in curating and shipping boxes to people who think "well whatever, I have the StylePass, so it costs me nothing". But it DOES cost Stitch Fix obviously in employee time and shipping costs both ways to get no sales.
That said - perhaps they are not taking into account the "Influencer" effect. I hesitate to even use that word, because I am never "influenced", but because of your channel I am exposed to items I might not have seen and may look purchase, and that should be worth something. Perhaps some level of affiliate partnership, especially if you can quantify any level of click through purchases derived from your channel, would be appropriate.
And LOL - I'm just west of Chicago, and the temps are going from nearly 100 to 50's at night, then 87 in a day or so again, but 60's over the weekend.....all over the place.
Sorry - I went on a lot, but I actually like this box. And you need to be MUCH more confident in how good things look on you. For sure. I am still looking for your chubby arms - don't see them at all. You are so lovely.

I agree that it needs to benefit Stitch Fix when offering style passes. They are providing a service and they are certainly allowed to make a profit off of it. I also realize that I am a tough customer because in doing this channel, I DON"T NEED anything! Lol! And also being tall, I feel like I have no pant options from them, so getting just tops makes it a bit harder too. I have always enjoyed the service and I look at it as every box just hoping I can find something really sparks joy and I love. Those things, I will happily buy!

they do not renew my style pass and I said bye bye to them. these box services is going to be going away soon.

If I took a sip of wine every time you said, "I don't know....", I'd be in a coma. If you don't know, it's a "no". Too bad you lost your Style Pass and your styling fee. And it's really disappointing how wishy-washy they are being about the Style Pass. Seems there's no firm policy. I was surprised my Style Pass was renewed last October, I kind of doubt it will be renewed again. I think they should offer a style pass for $100 for all the fixes you want for the year, but only $50 of that would be credited towards clothing you buy. So they pocket $50 and it only costs you $50 out of pocket. I'm very hesitant to pay $20 a month and risk it. Sometimes I'll buy 3 items and sometimes I buy nothing. It should be interesting going forward!
