She is a certified Sustainability Professional and global Youth Leader, making significant contributions in the field of Corporate Sustainability and Business Responsibility at one of India's largest multinational corporations. Her exceptional dedication to sustainability was acknowledged with the esteemed Global 50 Women in Sustainability award by SustainabilityX Magazine in 2023. As an integral part of global youth programs, including the UNDP Movers program, UNFCCC Youngo, and UNEP initiatives, Sreelakshmi actively shapes the future of sustainability. Her passion extends to being an ardent speaker and advocate for sustainability youth, having reached and trained over 100,000 youths globally.
She is a sought-after invited speaker at various international platforms, having been a delegate at the 8th International Youth Conference in New York and the Conference of Youth 18 in the UAE. Sreelakshmi also presented a side event organized by a Pakistan-based sustainability institute during CoP28 in the UAE. In addition to her global engagements, Sreelakshmi holds leadership roles, heading the Kerala Sustainable Development Goals Council of the Women's Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She is also a distinguished member of the CSR and Sustainability Committee of the Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India. Furthermore, her influence extends to being a part of the global 100 women leaders.
Her proposed project aims to extend ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and Sustainability training to leaders of startups and MSMEs. The goal is to ensure they operate responsible businesses, which is crucial in today's complex global landscape. By equipping these leaders with the knowledge and tools to integrate ESG principles into their operations, the project promotes sustainable practices and fosters long-term viability and positive impact within the business ecosystem.
