Hi, you've made my day! When I was learning English, I often felt that words went on forever. I couldn't hear the gaps. When I started teaching Spanish, I realised my students were having the same problems I'd had with English. Ever since, I've included in my lessons all the tips I wish someone had given me back then.
Muchas gracias! This lesson is like hitting 3 birds with one stone: sharing God's word, learning spanish vocabulary and also proper pronunciation/flow.😊
Louis, just when I was having one of the worst days in a very long time, your comment arrived. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. I owe you a great video 🤗
Hi, thanks. I'm about to publish a parallel text edition of the Gospel of John (English - Spanish). If you're interested, please join the waitlist here kerapido.com/bible/
Today I watched your video for the firsttime...you teach much better than the professors in UVAs....I attended 6 months course but could follow very little Thanks a lot....especially for taking this method to teach correct phonetics ❤❤❤❤❤ 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
For me, as a life-long language learners, knowing the pronunciation of a language is essential. That's why I always include it in my lessons. I've never understood why other teachers pay so little attention to the sounds of the language they teach. If you want to be able to understand fast Spanish, knowing the sounds is what's going to help you the most.
Are there any words you've come across that you'd like to practise? If you give me a list of say 5 to 10 words I can make a video to help you master them :)
I am blessed that this lesson is offered in Spanish. It was difficult to repeat what you said but I am very happy that this video is offered. I love Dios and want to minister to many people
Lee, thanks for the feedback. The secret to fast learning is to focus on one verse at a time. Say it out loud several times. The first few times will be really hard, but you'll soon get better. If you find a word particularly difficult to say, practise it on its own. Then say the whole sentence. Every bit of speaking practice is going to help you get there!
I really appreciate your channel ! I have wanted to read the Bible in Spanish and now your channel is making this possible. I like how you go through sentence by sentence. Thank You so very much!
Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't sure whether my subscribers would prefer faster pace videos or ones like this where I go more into detail. This is my most popular video by far, so I'll continue making the videos this way. Thanks again for taking the time to let me know.
You have a GREAT concept, and this is a good introduction video on how to use the rest of the videos. Seeing the English that corresponds with the Spanish is immensely valuable. Your English explanations should be less frequent and shorter in duration. Watching a video like this is much easier than having 2 screens open on your computer and going back and forth between an audio bible and the written word. I commend you for your efforts.
Hi, thanks so much for your kind comment, and your feedback. I'm now creating a Gospel of John course in English-Spanish with videos similar to this, but shorter (about 5 mins each). If you're interested in it, here's the link: kerapido.com/bible/

What confuses me is the putting of the verb before the noun
Susan, in "tanto amó Dios al mundo" the noun goes after the verb for emphasis. You could also say "Dios amó tanto al mundo", but the message would be less powerful.
By putting "amó" (he loved) immediately after "tanto" (so much), we're emphasising the strength of that love. Let me know if that helps.
