You are doing beautiful work. Better than national networks, in fact. Would love to see Venice Island flyover, east Venice, corner Border and Jackson, as well as Englewood. I'm sure many of your viewers would greatly appreciate it.
We would certainly hope that local networks would show the destruction and flooding since they are here. National networks rely on local networks to provide the photos , an area that just experienced a huge hurricane does not need all networks from all over coming into the area .

This is what I noticed about the before/after photos. The 'after' Hurricane Ian photos are heart-wrenching. But the 'before' photos are shocking, as it seems in many places in Florida, it's just overdeveloped and crowded. Perhaps, after this Hurricane, there will be more consideration for nature and not over-crowd Florida.

This is such a shame, but Trailers and Florida don’t mix, never have. The same applies to plywood houses and high winds. And coastal areas are prone to flooding, why is anyone surprised?
So what? People can afford to mow over their home to build a hurricane code one? North Port is mostly wood frame homes and mobile home parks. I lived there 10 years. It has only been since Charlie that new builds are up to code. Irma did a number on North Port too. Stating the obvious will not help those who cannot scrap their homes.
I hope when Florida is re-built after this Hurricane, all mobile homes will be built on stilts and built stronger for high winds. It's not worth it to build 'cheap' as it is too costly to clean-up and re-build after a Hurricane and storms.
Where are the people who own the trailers? 2 days after the storm and no one is out cleaning up or checking the trailers to see if someone might have not gotten out?
