As a long time ball main since he released heres a tip not mentioned. Stop playing until 6v6 gets released. Ball is ok after the buffs but in most cases other tanks will do his job better. Mainly diva there are some maps were he does fulfill a niche that can make him worth it.

I would add that you can rebind the retract to something other than space. I personally have it on quick melee which i have bound to mouse 5. Makes it a million times easier and more natural to retract on command. You can also jump and, while in the air, use your grapple and retract to use pile drive almost anywhere instantly. And also reload canceling doesnt make you reload faster but it is free damage if you land the melee.
If you're serious about learning Ball I would 100% suggest you practice, it feels impossible at first but once you get the timing down then you will get the hang of it pretty fast
its just too hard to carry bad dps in this game anymore. I fully believe in overwatch you have to play 100s and 100s of games just to climb its a waste of time and the match maker is terrible.

Basically, you latch on to a cylinder object with the swing and start moving around it fast, hitting everyone away.

Absolutely!! That is a very smart way to play Sombra. Just be careful with baiting because you have a lot less HP.
I tried Walljump for hours, I made it a few times by accident but I gave up. Its incredible hard

the trick is to press S or what ever direction is away from the wall, a millisecond or so before making contact with the wall
