Sometimes they will be calling each other to inform one another of the spots where the police are and you will be shocked when the taxi turns in a different route to avoid the police. If you are going to work, wakezn extra hour early to accommodate that otherwise you may be late. Yet we joke about these things and laugh. On the video, when the quantum finally stopped the people were shouting "Baleka" meaning run. The same people who were in that taxi screaming for their lives were telling their driver to run 😂.

Those taxis definitely get you there, its both extremely funny, and aggravating.

Taxi chase happened in my city George in the western cape on a Monday Morning. Those people were about to go to work and I was that day on my way to school. They chased him because he didn't have a driver license. The people in that taxi was Black and Coloured people. He was going to a black township called Thembalethu but was stopped at the bridge because of traffic.

So a lot of the time the running battle occurs in the heart of town. And town is often busy, so you can imagine how dangerous it becomes.
