Great and helpful review, Erobin! My coworker is looking to get her first pocket knife, and I was thinking of getting this one for her as a gift as she said she loves the look of this one. This review told me everything I need to know! ^-^
Too cool... my EDC is also a CRKT M16, but mine is the 12Z model, also a Carson design. I’ve been carrying mine a year now and I don’t have any issues with it at all.
I like my crkt m16-01ks... I tighten it to were it comes out half way with the flipper... that way when you use the flipper together with the the thumb stud... it will come out a bit slower...
I felt lighter knives ... handled lighter knifes ... though they don't all use metal like this knife ... for a knife with a full metal handle that not made from junk metal.. like other budget knives it's pretty light ...
I'm personally not a fan of 8cr14MoV steel as they seem to dull just looking at it. I hope your batch is different but my one and only CRKT never seemed to want to hold an edge longer than 2 uses. I was constantly sharpening. But this was years ago so maybe they've improved

Good review. I prefer the M16-02SS. A beautiful Tanto blade and stainless frame lock with 12C27 Sandvik steel for ~$55
CRKT makes great stuff
Great job, grandpa
I've seen this a few times at wallyworld, and people seem to Love it.
Light weight, but well built, I totally get that feeling.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching.
It fits perfectly on the bottom side of the inside pocket of a Levi's jacket. That little spot at the bottom pointing towards the back. LPT
