Best free videos on UA-cam on learning German. It serves my purpose of reading and listening (I am not interested in speaking). The sentence is said in German four times, twice without the subtitle (so you can practice your guess work), twice with the subtitle (so you can learn reading). The sentence is also spoken in English - this part I can go without since I can read the subtitle. But, I understand it is necessary for audio learning. Well. It should go faster since user of this video know English very well.

Extremely helpful and I understood 90% of the Phrases ... Writing down the Nouns and Verbs that I missed is hugely helpful ... Then Writing New Sentences with these same words is helping me to jump hurdles in my quest to conquer the German Language ... Understanding the 4 Cases is my next major goal Thanks alot !!! in my goa

Bist du schon mal nach sieben Jahren nach Hause gekommnen. Just a query: at 2:52.57 this sentence appears. I read it as, " Have you ever come home after seven years? But the translation said, "Have you ever returned home before seven". Is this idiomatic?
The English speaker's voice often sounds angry or annoyed. It really triggers me. Grrrr.....The German speaker sounds great though. Despite the minor irritation, this video is extremely helpful in increasing my vocabulary and sentence structure. 👍
With all due respect: Can it be because you spent time studying only grammar and vocabulary lists without actually listening actively to native speakers and learning how to naturally speak and understand what is said?? Granted, grammar and vocabulary, and MUCH reading, is essential, but equally essential is listening to native speakers regularly. At the end of the day, it is all about comprehensible input.
