Sadhguru is a highly enlightened being. He is so conscious of "a life". Thats why trying in everyway possible to conserve our rivers. He knows for a fact if rivers deplete our lives will deplete.

The planet needs everybody and anybody who can save it.
Planet will be fine. But for human life sustainability we need certain conditions - once these conditions change - human species is endangered.
20 years ago it still wasn't this alarming.

He traveled a lot and observed.
A lot of this knowledge was intrinsic for our elders.
My grandma ( who passed away at 94) used to explain many such things and also used to manage the house work with what's now being known as minimalism.
But those days it was natural.
A lot is lost in 30-40 years.
What Sadhguru is doing to India and to world is amazing, and I am very grateful to what he has done to me personally.Now all the people are turning towards him. And I hope we all continue to live better and happy.

All other right statements apart, and in spite of high regard for the good job the present Govt. is doing to correct a 370 years long MESS, regarding laws prohibiting cutting of trees, and taking away farmers' lands, it is an absolute falsehood. Hundreds of thousands of trees have been cut, are being cut, many of them over hundreds of years old, for expansion of cities, industries, and transport routes, both roadways and railways. I am sure that for every example I can give, my co-columnists can give ten! Building of public utilities has become a good source for camouflaged bleeding of public money. And if they say that compensatory tree planting is done, then it is falsehood squared! They plant SEEDS and SAPLINGS. It will take at least ten years for these to even deserve to be called a tree. And what about the loss of gene pool when these ancient pre-hybrid Trees go?

Well it might be true on the paper, but if one comes to Tamil Nadu (TN) for a visit, he/she will be surprised that this statement is not true. If it is true, the monsoon pattern in TN would have changed drastically. One can check this on the internet and see if there is any change in the monsoon pattern over the last few years in TN. Between 29:29 - 29:33, he says outsource irrigation through corporation. Outsourcing irrigation through corporation, means the corporate companies will have all the rights on the water bodies such as rivers, lakes, ponds, etc and only if the corporate wants to give you water, it'll give and it'll give only at a price it dictates, which can never be a good idea. We all know how the corporate companies work when it comes to their profits. Having said that do not believe anything and everything you hear/read. Just apply your intelligence before believing.
