Any LOONA fan, in particular the early birds, will understand what you're going through.
I'm just here for the music. But every single member of LOONA had such a f×××××g huge influence on the image of the group and the music, that it's just impossible to let go. Every member seemed to bring something important to the music, too.
And it's just viciously cruel what's happening to this day, to boot.
I’m an orbit and already a stan of tripleS. I’m a huge fan of big girl groups so tripleS is automatic for me. Fortunately, I loved their discography
If you think Rising sounds like early LOONA just wait until you hear the B-Sides of Assemble. 😭
On first listen i was literally hallucinating and hearing the voices of certain LOONA members.
Makes me sad and happy at the same time.

I totally get what you mean about guarding yourself now. Personally im enjoying the similarity, and music, but not getting the same feeling as with loona. I think it will never happen again because i will never be the person i was when i fell in love with Loona. I needed it at that moment, and it helped me a lot through a tough time, but im a different person now because of it so its not comparable. I dont know..its hard to put into words what i mean.

I agree! I think while it is very similar to LOONA, which that kind of comparison is pretty much gonna be unavoidable when a.) Jaden Jeong himself is the one manning this project, and b.) LOONA's concept ultimately did leave an impact on the K-pop scene and influenced the future of K-pop in some capacity, I think what tripleS has been doing right now (at least coming from someone still very new to the group) is different enough to where they can still stand on their own and expand this concept in a new direction that maybe LOONA couldn't considering that BBC likely held back a *lot* on Jaden's vision, which led to him leaving and them ultimately dropping several projects.

LOONA was way more lore heavy so each individual member had a huge purpose when it came to releasing their songs and being in the group. LOONA also came during the time when Produce 101 was running and this was when perfection was everything which was why the majority of the members were so well polished. Plus the mvs were also magical to give that perfection feel. TripleS is released during the time when a lot of people and especially the Korean gp are tired of seeing perfection on stage. People were looking for idols to be more relatable and Triples concept matched this. From members with less perfect skills (relatability factor) and mvs bringing nostalgia (trends that the current Gen Z in Korea are currently interested in).
as of right now yes the first 10 has debuted, but currently there are 12. Kotone(known from Girls Planet) and now the maknae Yeonji was recently revealed as the 12th member. both of them staying in the tokyo haus
they are now in Seoul now

@@StanMiihii from what I know they revealed the new S or the teaser every month or so. So they could reveal the next one sooner then later

At least it's early LOONA. That ship had long since sailed away after JJ was forced to leave.
They did keep wearing musical influences on their cheeks like he always meant them to, but they jumped the shark quite a bit afterwards since they were blatantly not early-Pop inspired like before [#].
I'm not really complaining.
But that was a particularly cruel turn of events regardless.
Colorful is so loona. I can imagine the line distribution 🥺

ive watched ur channel for a while and was an orbit a little before u got into it. its bittersweet. its hard not to wish things could have been better for the girls so they could have/keep releasing music like this.
at the same time, these girls dont have anything to do with it and as far as we know they are being treated better at modhaus than how bbc treated loona. for starters theyre already getting paid and thats been confirmed.
i just try to think of it like theyre carrying the torch loona isnt able to anymore. i hope we'll get to live in a future where both are releasing good music that brings us joy. i know its bittersweet, but maybe this frame of mind might help. the albums are incredible to i hope you'll do a first listen!!
( 6:39 also kotone from gp999 isnt in this unit. tripleS will release an annual album with all members who were active that year, in this case 2022, and she was added in 2023)
the one from GP999 is not here (Kotone). This is the first 10 members and Kotone is the 11th member.
I can totally understand what you're saying about what you're feeling about this and loona :< but I'm more on the happy side since I get to here this sound again
The girl from girls planet is Kotone the 11th member. She was not here in this mv because these are the first 10 members that are revealed only in 2022.
In-case you are still trying to look for Kotone, she's not here. The 10 that debut here are from the Korea dorm while Kotone and Yeonji at Tokyo Hous have yet to.

i am an orbit too , follow you since then and i know your feeling .. i keep my feeling toward them on shallow bcz i fell i dont want to "cheating" on loona .. well kepop always bring something new that i cant ressist ..
1:20 The album is EXCELLENT. Anyone who enjoyed loona's first two albums will love the music on it. My suggestione (since you said you are apprehensive) is to just enjoy the music for what it is - you don't need to rush in to any variety, performance, etc content if you don't want to. But if you liked early loona music, this album is a must listen

GP999 girl (Kotone) isn't in there yet :P She was S11. So not your fault! And yeah. The pre-debut LOONA sound is so good. And now that we know more about BBC it just makes me wonder what LOONA could have been ... but hopefully you'll grow to love this group like I do too :)

ngl. what happened to loona, has traumatized some of us who have followed them since the beginning, including me 😥
I am so torn because I really like the music they put out and I even occasionally watch their vlogs. On other hand there are such young members in this group (Doesn't help that Hyerin is one of my favourite members so far). So I didn't buy anything so far but I listen to them quite often. While I do found some stage outfits questionable, from what we've seen so far I feel okay supporting them. I just hope these teenagers and young women get treated with respect and care.

@@emm4746 They might but you cant deny their talents. in my mind if they have decided fully to go into the idol industry younger then 15 then thats on them to decide. all we can do is support them and companies protect them as much as they can.

I'm really not okay with 05 but somehow i'll manage it....but a fcking 2009? like c'mon...as you said talent can wait....absolutely disgusting. i'm just afraid that the beginning of 5th gen we'll see a 2010+ too...
Look, i've a ult with a maknae who's 2007 liner but i'm still not okay with it .... i love her ( don't misundertand it ) but it's still not okay. 2005 is the absolute minimum for me....they'll be 18 in this year so it's ooooookay-ish.
And about YG's new group, as i said there is a 2009 liner and i'm sure YG won't make age-appropriate concept for them so i already see how it'll go...
