When Sub Zero freezes the blood, I went crazy.
And the throw on the ice wall is directly taken from mk 11 sub zero s amplified slide
I love how Sub-Zero turned the blood into a spike and uses it as a weapon.
Personally I like the Japanese-accent “Get Over Here”! Felt authentic. But this was fucking badass!
Exactly, a Japanese man wearing a mask is going to sound different. I like that it wasn't dubbed over.

I never understood why some people are complaining about how he sounded when he said that line. I thought it sounded good and made it more authentic.
Sub zero freeze hit scorpion. Turn the blood splatter into a weapon. Hits him with his own blood then throw through a wall of ice. That's crazy.
Literally a flawless trailer outside of the “get over here”. The delivery is good, it’s how muffled and quiet is it that’s the problem. It really sticks out next to the awesome voice of sub-zero.
As a huge Mortal Kombat fan, this trailer has me super excited!
This is a cinematic universe just waiting to happen. There are so many characters we can get spin-off films from. But...let’s just hope this one is awesome first.

Also I'm glad the spear doesn't come out of the hand, that was a lame thing in the OG movies.
Makes sense for him to have a mechanical retractable blade. It explains how he is able to pull with such force as it’s a mechanical device yanking as he is yanking. Yet we might see it come out of his hand once he returns with his full scorpion glory. As he seems to be normal until sub kills him and he gets resurrected as the hellspawn.
The hand thing was only a movie thing anyways so that can stay gone for all I care.
This movie needs the opening music from the original or I will be disappointed! Mortal Kombat!

Loved it gritty and REALSTIC not as over the top as the video game but it does it's best to showcase the characters we all love. It being a hard R is a great foundation... now just got to hope the script and direction help to make this the first GOOD video game ever....... fun react Cody appreciate you able to get it out so soon. Fingers Crossed for a fun film

I’ve always been a fan of Mortal Kombat. First game I ever played was Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks on ps2. I’m super exited for that Sub-Zero and Scorpion fight!

Been a fan since the first game hit the Arcades and have owned every one since. Loved the 1st movie and felt like my heart was ripped out after watching the second. Like you I had my doubts...but now I'm sold.

The Mortal Kombat reboot looks great because the movie will have blood, hardcore violence including fatalities, and exciting fights with amazing special effects.
Finally a amazing looking faithful Mortal Kombat movie made by Hollywood.
I'm glad that the one guy that kills all the people outside actually got to kick some ass , cause everything I've seen him in , he gets his ass kicked. ( Wolverine and hawk eye ) most notably.

Being a fan since day one of mk1 for not being able to get ed boon to do the get over here isnt so bad considering its scorpions japanese accent is pretty sweet

I understand your point in the beginning about the previous films (personally I loved the '95 movie and _Annihilation_ can kick rocks). I'm really excited for this movie and I'm you're looking into this with an open mind.
Strange we came to the same conclusion that the new character Cole (theoretically) represents us, the viewer/audience, our eyes to his journey in this retelling of MK1, if that makes any sense.

Same marking as you. The credits confirming that Sub Zero is Bi Han. I'm pretty sure this Cole character is Bi Hans brother, and the next Sub Zero.
Why would you think Cole is his brother? That's a pretty big departure from the lore. His brother, and the second Sub-Zero has always been Kuai Liang.
@@SlasherIncorporated Based on them both having the same birthmark and it being a movie, they tend to simplify things from the OG material in movies.
@@NocturnalToothbrush Jax says in the trailer "It's not a birthmark, Cole. It means you've been chosen". Sounds like they ALL have that marking, then. At least that's what I would gather, since they're all fighting in the tournament. So, again, I don't know how you came to that conclusion...

For all the Cage fanatics they can just play MK9-MK11. The Cage family gets shoved down your throat in those games, so I'm okay with the Cage's not being in the movie. I'm mainly interested in my man Goro, and how they introduce Shao Khan

It’s funny seeing loads of people reacting like crazy to the gore (including myself) and Cody just has a straight face for the most part cuz he’s used to it lol.
One problem: the 1995 movie, say what you want, the main song/theme was AWESOME!
Not sure how this movie is going to top that song intro/theme.

I've been a fan of these games since I was 4. I loved Mortal Kombat from the 90s and Annihilation(its shitty but fun)
I really hope this movie is good. Everything about it looks awesome and I hope they pull it all together and it's the best of the video game movies.
Was a huge fan of the game when I was a kid, the first movie was watchable, Annihilation was horrendous but hopefully the new one will be at least entertaining
I could care less about Mortal Combat... with that being said, this looks awesome!!! Cant believe I'm looking forward to it.

I believe that this is actually going to be awesome. Gore on point, casting looks amazing, effects are great. I’m a huge fan of the games, been playing them damn near my entire life.
I wasn’t particularly wowed by the “GET OVER HERE” in the trailer, but I have a feeling that may be saving that for the movie instead of blowing their load in the trailer.
As a die-hard Mortal Kombat fan, I'm looking forward to this movie. Might be better than the original. Who knows?

I have a feeling they are saving Johnny Cage for the sequel. Kitana and Jade dont appear to be in there either. As for Cole, im still excited for the movie but Im not really a fan of the "self insert" character. It reminds me of Alice from the Resident Evil movies and well.. the less I remember about those movies the better

Looks promising. A bit low budget, but a lot of potential to be awesome. It certainly can't be worse than Annihilation...lol. I'm a little nervous about the new Cole character. Kinda feels like they're going to pull a 'Resident Evil' on us and make him the main focus of the films (if they do more) and the game characters will end up taking a back seat. Don't know how I feel about that. Otherwise, color me excited! Always been a HUGE Mortal Kombat fan, so I can't wait to check this out.

Highlights of movies usually get you pumped up. Not there yet. If Raiden can't have an incredible introduction then it lowers my expectations.

It looks good blood and gore wise, yes (does it all have to CGI though:( ?), but I hope for good plot and interesting characters.
That's more important to me.
1995 adaptation had no gore and a very small amount of super natural moves from the game.
But it had nice simple fairytale a like plot, and very likeable characters, that had good chemistry with each other + killer soudtrack and score.
Speaking of blood and gore, I really wish for more practical effects.
I would easily trade a full on CGI blood bath into few stunning practical effects, polished with CGI.
Anyway, I am waiting for the while thing.

The original MK movie was great, all that was missing was the gore.
Trailer was great but I have some concerns slash problems. Johnny Cage is a Og character from the first game an besides Lu Kang hes like the second most popular hero character from the first game. He should have been here besides that the get over was weak. An lastly the adding of a new character not from the games will either work within the context of the film or hes gonna feel major out of place because hes not from the games story. Besides these things the fighting an action looks great.
I was blown away when I saw this trailer. Can't wait to see it.

Wouldn't say I'm a huge mortal kombat fanatic, but always enjoyed playing the games. This movie does look very impressive to say the least.
I will definitely check it out when I can.
Cole is somehow connected to scorpion. 1) he’s wearing yellow wristbands 2) he’s the key to pulling both worlds together and 3) he keeps having visions of Scorp. I’m thinking it could be Takeda even tho Takeda in the original Lore was Kenshis son in this movie I believe he’s Scorps bloodline. Don’t rewatch the trailer cuz they show a lot of spoilers especially who basically kills who and who’s fighting who in the movie. This movie isn’t following any of the original besides Sub v Scorp and tournament. In Original Lore Ermac takes Jax arms they had to have Sub do it to show he’s the bad guy plus it goes with the story I’ve already theorized. And Kano is good so we don’t get to have a Kano and Sonya fight like the original story. I’m thinking Kano could change cuz I’m trailer he’s fighting Kung Lao or just being a asshole and shot a beam at him for shits and giggles.
None of what you saw in the trailer means anything...yet. It's just a trailer. You don't know how the story is going to play out until you see the movie, so why even bother coming up with these theories?
Also, you're wrong. In the original lore, Jax willingly has his arms outfitted with cybernetic implants. Ermac ripped them off only in the rebooted timeline.

I’ll tell you this Kano v Rep, Liu v Kabal, Sonya v Mileena, Jax v Reiko, Goro v Cole (Takeda or another Decedent of Scorp or possibly Kuai Liang cuz maybe at the end Sub comes back as noob because there is a scene in the trailer where someone like smoke or Sub is coming from some smoke. That could be the very end to having us wanting more. So yeh that’s what I saw in the trailer. Cole is gonna be tied to Scorp or Sub in some way. And all those fights I mentioned are in the trailer. And they do show the outcome of each fight in the trailer sorry buddy they showed us a lot more than ppl think.

Sometimes people look too much into things and see only what they wish to see. I mean, Reiko and Reptile aren't even in this...lol. We don't actually know how the plot is going to unfold. You believe you know, but you really don't until you watch the movie.

No, it wouldn't. Guest characters are fine for the games, but we don't need to be doing that in the movies too. There's no logical reason to put Freddy in there. That would be really dumb idea.

Really only have two dings to the trailer. The "get over here " needed a bit more idk something. And Mileena's teeth/Mouth was lack luster. Other than that this looks really good.

Huge MK fan, loved the trailer, but like you said, hope they didnt sho weverything cool form the movie here. That happens a lot it trailers where we see 90% of cool stuff in first trailer and then when movie comes out we feel like we already saw it months before in trailer. So thats my only fear for this movie. Hope that wont happen.
