We are located in Oinoi in the prefecture of Attica.
To the south of the modern village of Oinoi, also known as Mazi

the ruins of a four-sided fortified tower of the 4th century rise
The friktoria of Oinoi was built in an uninhabited area and was connected to a neighboring fortification to the northeast of the modern village,
as well as with the fortress of the Free.
The building is estimated to have had four floors, while its height should have reached 16 meters.

On the sides of the surviving walls are rows of holes,
in which the wooden beams were placed to support the floors,
as well as narrow windows, which allowed the control of the adjacent street.
The five lower buildings are of solid limestone, while the upper ones are of cobblestone.
It is estimated that the Tower had a total of four floors (ground floor + three floors), each of a different height.
On the three upper floors, on each side of the tower, arched windows opened.
The fortification in the north-east of modern Oinoi, in a place known as "Myoupoli",
identified by some researchers with the ruins of ancient Oinoi.
It seems that it remained in use until the years of the Turkish occupation.
