when all else fails...this worked for me.... unplug the power to the laptop...power off the laptop....restart the laptop and hold the power button for 30 seconds and release..once all start-up icons appear, shut down for 1 minute....restart, wi-fi appeared and worked better than before. I tried about 7-10 different solutions from outstanding videos like this one. My problem happened after an update but all is working now.
I'd read about 4 different lengthy articles before finding this tutorial. I was all set to demonize Windows 11 updates with a plan to scrap my trusty 5-yr old laptop with their "recent updates". The second step (flush DNS) fixed it. I have no idea nor do I care about what that means but I feel so capable right now! XD Thank you!!!
OMG this is the only tutorial that worked and brought back my Wifi icone!!!!! Previously I have tried all the driver uninstall and reset thing but did not work. I think the difference this tutorial made was the IPCONFIG from CMD Thank you so much man!! This spent my whole night!!! I have watched every other tutorials and finally came to yours!!!!
I am not computer savy at all. But I used my phone which was hooked up to the home wifi and I then went throught the stop by step method on my laptop and even typed in the "black section box" exactly what you said. "config..etc"and after I did the restart it automatically hooked up to my wifi. Thank you so much. the step by step method and it was not too fast that I could pause the video. Thank you ever so much for your help. I have subscribed to your channel :)
Also i am here simply because my network adapter icon has disappeared from the network connections, thus unabled to connect to my wifi whatsoever. And not having the wifi icon on the taskbar to right click and forget and re add the password, makes it impossible to do. 🤷🏽♂ So i am very much desperate for a fix please as leaving the reset of my laptop to the last option.
I want to say a massive thank you for this tutorial. I have a paper to complete and need access to the internet and panic was setting in but your video helped me to get the wifi back. Thanks and God bless
I bought a new laptop last weekend loaded with W11, previous laptop was W10. I use a Microsoft Display Adapter plugged into the tv to cast wirelessly from my laptop, never had a problem on W10. However, when I tried connecting the new computer to the display adapter to cast to my tv, it recognized the Display Adapter, but when I clicked on it to cast, it would simply cancel after 20 seconds or so and display "couldn't connect". Plus I noticed the Smartcast icon was missing from UA-cam videos, so something was clearly amiss. I researched online for over an hour for a solution, nothing I tried would fix the problem. Finally came across this video and even though it was much more intensive using command prompts, etc., I figured what the hell, let's give it a shot. Followed the video exactly, and when I was done I tried casting again. After about fifteen seconds the laptop screen was displayed on the tv, I couldn't believe it. Plus the Smartcast icon is back on UA-cam videos. I bookmarked this video in case I ever have this problem again...thanks for posting a video that actually fixes a problem!
Thanks a lot! My PC runs Intel AC 9560 and the wireless driver was broken after wifi turned off manually about 15'. Tried to update and re-install latest driver but not working! And your simple method fixed my problem!
I followed everything in this video without any success, my WiFi adapter is not recognized anymore in Windows 11, it was working perfectly since I updated to Windows 11 from a month ago.
I forgot which one, but, yesterday one of the step worked on my laptop, but today, same problem occured... the wifi disappeared again and I guess I need to try each step again. But this takes to much time if each time I turn on my laptop and need to do redo it
@@marisalim96 I ended up installing a fresh copy of windows on my system. and I discovered that Windows 11 is not compatible with my Ryzen CPU, So I installed everything from scratch + updated AMD Chipset drivers, and I should NEVER, NEVER put my power plan to "Power Save" because my windows will crash! however, my WiFi adapter is working again without any problem. actually, it was working when I installed the drivers from Intel (before I discovered the incompatibility with my Ryzen CPU, but after that, my system start crashing repetitively, for that reason I installed everything from scratch) because I have the Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz adapter.
@@ahmadelkerdi1657 ahhh I see, thank you for the reply! I think maybe mine is also not compatible, because this happened after I updated to Windows 11, I'll try Google it, maybe others with the same laptop experience this too
Thank you so much. All the Microsoft support forums were useless, which is extra infuriating because it's a Windows update that causes this problem for most people. Resetting the winsock is what did it for me! 😎 I was just about to buy a 100' Ethernet cable up run through my house.
I’ve watched all the videos and have followed all the steps and nothing is fixing my issue. I just spent $600 on this lap top less than two weeks ago. Thinking about just taking it back in the morning
Through troubleshooting and using the other methods in this video i can get the wifi button to pop up, but it cant detect any networks even though my phone in the same range can detect many. Im not sure how to fix this :(
Me too, man. I can connect to the wifi extender connecting with my router but can not with the router. Doubt if the problem comes from wifi adapter itself. Mine is a realtek adapter.
IF ANYONE STILL HAS THIS PROBLEM: I spent 8 hours trying to work it out, all the videos show the same thing. But this worked for me. Turn your PC off, then switch off the switch to the PSU. Then unplug the PC and hold onto the power button for 30 seconds to drain all the power. then plug back in and it should work!
The second solution (winsock) worked for me!! I had tried everything before: uninstalling then re-installing the network driver, resetting it, downloading another driver on a different computer and trying to install it on the faulty computer, and nothing else worked. (At first, I didn't run as an administrator and it didn't work, but then when I followed the steps more carefully to run as an administrator, it worked!) Thank you!
I did all of these like 5 times now and it works for 2 seconds and the wifi compleately disapears after that again. Like it is not existing anymore on my computer. I deleted all my drivers and reinstalled, reinstalled the whole computer, did all of these in the video. Is it possible that theres a problem outside of my laptop?
Well I just took off my laptop’s bottom part, searched a tutorial to find my wifi card to see if I could change it for myself and I found it, but it was covered with sth that I was too scared to remove because I didnt wanna fuck up my laptop. So I just pushed it down not too hard to see if it was a connection problem or sth. Cleaned the inside and I noticed that the screws were too tight soo I screwed it looser when I put my laptop’s bottom part back maybe sth was pushing the wifi card or messing with the connection, but afterwards it worked. Maybe I just had luck or I have magical hands but Im happy. (Also I have zero clue about computers, its just what worked for me 😅)
@SHIVAM GUPTA using a Wi-Fi adapter or ethernet cord connect to the internet then from settings find the manufacturer website and look for the wireless internet driver and download it, then reset your computer. At least this work for me 3 times on different devices.
i still cant connect to internet. i have a lenovo and apparently you cant open those up and when i look at the diagnostics for the adapter it says "not fixed or hardware related problems" does that mean im just SOL with it?
Really a very good avice..... Thank a lot.... Nearly 2 hours I am searching for recover my adapter settings..... Now only my system connected to internet...... Thaks thanks thanks....

You basically flush any ip adresses from your cache.
It fixes it temporarily though, couple of minutes after it's working it disconnects again and the wifi disappears
