Why Piper Sport fell out with SportCruiser PS-28? - Cost, performance, history

Very interesting video! I was a PFA member when the kit versions first came out and it was always a dream of mine to build one! It's interesting to see what happened to this amazing design since then.

This plane was largely a redesigned of the zenith 601xl. They share the exact same wings and will bolt up interchangeably. The improvements that this has is better looks and a better canopy design. Otherwise it’s basically the same aircraft but for more money

would love an (ideally 4 seater) 2 seater cruising aircraft that has a decent cruise speed - better than the 90 or 95 of a c152 or pa28 and an aircraft that doesn't drink so much compared to those two aircraft

Why Piper pulled out from the deal with the czech company I think could involve lycoming saying to Piper why are you promoting an Austrian engine, that makes us look bad . Later rotax had the 916 200 plus horsepower engine, Lycoming bought it and put it in the closet.
