Bridge work is my favourite, but for some reason I don't do it often. When I do I definitely see improvements fast.

Can you rest your feet on a block for more elevation instead of going on demi point?

I positively cannot do bridges. I always seem to pull my hamstrings, and while it's effective on my butt it isn't worth the pain of a pulled muscle. I don't find it effective on my core too. Any idea where I am going wrong?

I used to have the same problem when I did bridges. I only get that feeling when my muscles are working too hard to do an exercise that they just aren't ready for. I worked on stretching and strengthening my hamstrings, and now I have no problem doing bridges. You can do exercises like donkey kicks, squats, and hamstring curls to strengthen the muscle, but don't forget to work on your flexibility as well. Once you feel like you're ready to try bridges again, do the easiest version possible (with your feet flat and far apart), and don't push it. Only go as high as is comfortable and stop when you start to get that pulled muscle feeling. Keep working at it and eventually your muscles will adapt. It's so worth it because this is one of the BEST exercises for toning your lower body muscles. Best of luck!
