Nice video. Just git back from 4 days with the Oklahoma Kayak Gals Winter Campout. Friday night wind just of 50 mph. Snow flurries Saturday with continuous wind. Other days were great got in some great hiking.

I do not like snow as much as you :) just ended a twelve houres shift on a construction site in the same conditions as in the video and here in Norway the winter last about 6 mnds , but the summertime is great :) your videos are great

I use a pop up canopy over the back of my tailgate. Works pretty good. Food for thought.

I'm so glad you never get a thumbs down Mike, it's mild here in Wisconsin but we have about 5 inches of ice on the lakes around by me, might go out this week and try it, hell I may do a video of it.. in February we have a ice fishing tournament, money to sign up but they tag fish in the Fall so you could win $10.000 to $15.000 to lesser amounts also.. it's on lake koskonong in Wisconsin...nice and peaceful camping you got there..

My son Does that tournament on Koshkonong... My husband has done that before also. Would be awesome to catch 1 of the big tag fish but so far They've gotten nothing Each year.

It's been a few weeks since I last watched one of your videos. I am soon to leave for a new life in a new country (outside the US). Through I have a rig, I've not slept in my camper. I just always had friends or family who wanted me to stay with them. But as I confront a new and novel adventure, your videos continue to inspire me. You always make it through, what ever the challenge.... You either: 1. prepare ahead, or 2. You simply perservere and make prudent decisions. Each video is really down to earth and enjoyable. Keep it up!
Been to that same overlook just the week before Thanksgiving. No snow then. Been to some of the places you go to and really enjoy watching your trips there too! It's really fun to go along on your trips with you! Looking forward to the next adventure!

Nice to see you camping in the home state of Iowa. Those hills Western Iowa are impressive and I always thought of the views on top of them. You can keep an eye out for complimentary tornados at that height and see the great views of the river.

You are a bear paw. We went from an extreme cold warning of some days - 36 C with the windshield of - 45 C to a week of plus and some - 6 C to a Winter storm watch. Not sure how much snow we will get - last I looked said no rain - fingers crossed. There is the fluff. You should always stock that in case you can't cook outside. I was thinking sour cream lol. Be very funny to order skip the dishes. Breakie sounds good. Where do you get your tea bags coffee? Like the jeans - good for hunting. That is an awesome overlook to enjoy a coffee when not so cold. Stay safe & take care of you all. Thanks for sharing eh :))

You have a great channel. Appreciate your travels and independent nature. Any thought to a little larger or different rig at sometime? My Ram 1500 has the short bed behind the crew cab so it really isn’t quite long enough for comfortably stretching out. You have great ideas for sure.

Mountain house meals are great for quick easy meal in the back of a truck. Glad your able to camp in the snow can’t wait till we get some here. Just found out that my emergency instant coffee ☕️ expired in 2017 LOL. Adventure on.

@@CrazyQuady Love the Mountain House stuff as well but Mike have you tried any of the Stowaway Gourmet meals? Got a few for Christmas but have yet to actually eat them. They are supposed to be VERY good. Bison Beer Black Bean Chili is one of the flavors they have and that just sounds epic to me.

just came across your channel and I like it especially this cold weather camping I have a Dakota 2wheel I am thinking of selling it to my brother and invest in a cargo van for full time living but it will be expensive and I have a budget I could live in a truck topper but even though you have nice cozy setup for me full time I'm unsure and safety reasons I like the van I would not want to be "trapped" back there at night and hear footsteps or knocking it would scare the begeebies out of me👹🙈🙅 heeeeeeee ligit anyways I am going to continue watching your channel I enjoy it
