I really enjoy when you go to these car shows, especially with all the old classic Cadillac's. Some of those Caddy's are gorgeous old cars. Thanks for sharing once again, James! 😃🙌
One of the things that made almost all GM show cars so special is that they actually worked. The Firebird III is one of GM's gas turbine cars. Most Ford dream cars looked futuristic but were static displays.
Great video and love all the comments along the way ! Have watched your channel for some time now and always enjoy ! Keep it up and great hair cut too man ! Just had to say !
Thanks for the video, beautiful vehicles I remember a lot of these cars when they were new. My parents had a 1965 Vista Cruiser, in the same Turquoise color as the 65 Dynamic 88, which became the Delta 88 in 1966.
Thanks for another great video James! I wish I could have attended to see that variety of beautiful cars! And, to your question about the Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 - In the 1950s and 60s, Olds used a variety of series names with the 88 moniker. In 1960 they offered the lower priced Dynamic 88 and the fancier Super 88, priced about 10% higher model for model. For 1964 Olds added a lower priced Jetstar 88 to go with the Dynamic and Super 88s. The Delta 88 nameplate appeared in 1965, replacing the Super as the top 88. For 1967, Olds introduced the Delmont 88 as lower priced companion to the Delta 88 and dropped the the Dynamic and Super nameplates. The Delmont lasted only two years and by 1969 all 88s were Deltas but available in base, Custom and Royale subseries. These name changes were common marketing ploys at the time. Manufacturers would introduce a new top-line nameplate and push the "old" top-line models down a notch (Chevy introduced the Caprice in 1965, which pushed the Impala down a notch, which had been introduced in 1958, displacing the Belair from the top. By 1973, the Belair, which was introduced in 1950 as Chevy's top-of-the-line two-door hardtop became the cheapest full-size Chevrolet, available only as a plain four-door sedan.
In order to compete more effectively with the Chevrolet Impala, the 1964 Jetstar 88 used the same full-size body as other 88 models but also shared key components with the redesigned 1964 Oldsmobile F-85 intermediate. The Jetstar 88 had the smaller 330 V8 and Jetaway (Super Turbine 300) two-speed automatic transmission (replacing the 394-cubic-inch V8 and Roto Hydramatic three-speed found in other full-sized Oldsmobiles). Brakes were the small 9.5-inch drums.
GMC motorhomes have air suspension on the rear only. The front is torsion bar, from the Toronado front clip. They had to stop when GM downsized the platform and the subframes were no longer available. They came with a 455 and ended production with the Olds 403, the largest available in 1978
Really like all of these cars!!!! My grandparents had a new 1975 Cadillac Coupe Deville . My parents had a Buick Riviera.. love these old cars!!! My parents like many people of their era started buying imported cars!! When I was a kid my parents had a Volvo wagon, Audi 5000 and Acura Legend!!! Then multiple Honda’s. I am grateful that they continued to buy GM trucks… I am glad Cadillac is still going strong 💪..
Very well put together video. I love the variety of Cadillacs, especially that 1958 model that looks like it just rolled out of the showroom. Fast forwarding to 2024, it would be great if you could somehow review the Cadillac Lyriq on your channel.
Another great video! If you ever want to do a video on my 64 Fleetwood, you are MORE than welcome! I’d love to have you! You captured it pretty well in this video. Mine is the black Fleetwood with the literature in the back! I wish I would have known you were videoing, I would have opened everything up for you! Feel free to reach out! I’d love to have you shoot the car!
Perhaps the car with the most appeal to me that I have seen in person was a 1969 Eldorado opera coupe that was for sale back in 1980 at a car dealer of high end cars located in Miami.
Nice show but not to complain however as a Cadillac Man you are and the reason we watch your channel is to spend more video time and chat on Cadillacs. Your’63 and ‘64’s are rare to fine in such great condition, the Fleetwood’64 I owned in Black and would love to own it again! So please consider why we are here viewing your channel it about CADILLACS!
Great video as always! It would have been nice to see more cars with their windows down, so there wouldn't be so much reflection when you are filming (I realize out of your control!!). My car I put in shows is a 1996 Cadillac Sedan de Ville and I always display it with all windows down. It has won two trophies and I feel the average car show spectator is respectful enough to not bother an interior of a car with open windows. Love your Fleetwood...I know that stopped making Fleetwood Broughams in !996 and the grille on your car looks like 97-99...is the car a pecial Coachbuilders edition?
Great video and show. Over the course of the year, there have been a grand total of three Cadillacs at my local shows.... To see so many Cadillacs all together all at once would probably lead to some drooling!
Thank you for bringing us to this car show! Being out here in California, I really cannot just pop over there .... but I've lived it vicariously through you! Thanks
Loved the overview and hair. That said, some of these cars are stunning & some really rough! The trunk of the mint black Cadillac (fleetwood or deville?). Bigger than my first apartment! LOL! Of course I love the Cadillacs, having owned a mint '69 Eldorado for 7 years, the love of my life! 😄
It's very nice Gathering of Cadillacs. I have nine of them only two are in that good of shape. 76 Cadillac saved my life. So I'm loyal to the era and the brand.
Thank you for the car show review. The Dynamic Eighty Eight was the trim level below Super Eighty Eight. The Dynamic Eighty Eight trim lasted from 1958 through 1966. It was positioned as the entry level trim level below the Super Eighty Eight. The Delta Eighty Eight appeared in 1965. It replaced Super Eighty Eight. The Delta prefix was dropped after the 1987 model year. They became Eighty Eight until the end in 1999.
From $6K to $73K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.

Experted Ann Marie strunk was my hope during the 'bear summer' last year. I did so many mistakes but also learned so much from it, and of course from Maria strunk.
Just sold a property in Alaska and I'm thinking to put the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying it's ripe but Is this a time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? How are other people in the same market raking in over $450k gains within months, I'm really just confused at this point.
Lots of beautiful cars at this show.I use to own a 1984 Coupe DeVille with the 4.1 engine. I had so many problems with that car, I replaced the engine 3 times in the 8 or so years that I had it. Never would I buy another Cadillac with that engine no matter how much I like the styling of it. After that 84 Caddy, I own 3 other Cadillacs, all Eldorados, 2 91 Eldorados and i 92 Eeldorado. I also have a beautiful 1965 Cadillac DeVille convertible that I've owned for 30 years.
Some clubs mandate an extinguisher be placed at the front driver’s wheel for judging. As a way to make sure folks have one on hand before, during or after the event “in case of fire” 🔥
The GMC Motorhome was manufactured during the 1973 to 1978 model years in Pontiac, Michigan with a total production of nearly 13,000 units. (Approximately 3,000 - 4,000 are believed to survive in running condition). The 455 V-8 was replaced with a smaller and less powerful 403 V-8 for the 1977 models. The short 140-inch wheelbase version (23-foot) is considerably rarer than the long 160-inch wheelbase version (26-foot). An aerodynamic body, front-wheel drive, and tandem rear wheels were all revolutionary. Gas mileage was approximately 2 mpg better than a comparable Winnebago or similar sized RV. This GM recreation vehicle was designed in the early 1970s when gasoline was cheap and the economy was very strong. But the Oil Shock of 1973/1974 and the generally high inflation of the 1970s hurt sales because GM had expected a production run of 20,000 units.
There was a red 1949 Cadillac Club Coupe Fastback that was not covered individually. In your cutting-room unedited footage, did you ever get an owner’s name from the windshield card? Same with the blue 1955 Series 62 Coupe. I would like to put those cars into The Self-Starter, but the management of the Cadillac Fall Festival did not keep records of the names and cars in attendance. Thank you, Tim Coy, art director, The Self-Starter
I’m a big Cadillac fan. I once owned a ‘69 DeVille convertible. One feature I especially liked was a glass rear window as opposed to plastic. I would have loved to have attended this event with you and your dad! Great coverage James! 👍
A lot to do with poor people owning them who really couldn't afford them and keep up the proper maintenance. Same thing happened to the Lincoln brand as well too
My father and I had a XTR 4 or something like that, small SUV as a rental for a week long road trip. No where near as comfortable a ride as my girlfriend’s old Rav 4. Leather seats were uncomfortable as I find all GM seats to be 🤷♂️ I will say it was quite fast being Turbo but absolutely no way I would own any Cadillac newer than 1996 or Lincoln after 2011.
@@RustyZipper yeah the XT4 is an entry level baby boomer suv into the market and price lower. Unfortunately you never saw or drove the CT6 Platinum or CT6-V definitely one of the best Cadillacs ever made on its longer wheelbase. Its like a longer Fleetwood 60 special with all the technology of a intelligence masterpiece. Hell it even drives itself at 80 mph with ease. You would love the seats because even the back seats reclined. Amazing what this Caddy can do!
@@bernardstyles7608 No. poor people don’t own Cadillac until it has had two or three owners. The truth is that RICH folk would MUCH rather Buy foreign for their luxury 🤷
@@bernardstyles7608 - I don’t doubt that one bit, this was just a regular rental spec suv I figured. I keep my stuff until the frames rot out here in NY. I’ve given up on any of the big three “domestic” brands. I don’t have a reputable dealer around me. The GMC motorhomes not just advanced for that time but even for today. Plus they were easily converted into the EM-50 Urban Assault Vehicle!
