If anyone curses at my 5 year old child the way she did, all of a sudden my child is the victim. Be an adult….calmly walk over and explain what happened and I can come over with you to see the damage. As a child, we lived in a circle. And I was outside with my older siblings at that age. It sounds like there were a lot of kids out in the neighborhood playing. And it seems it’s a dead end street. I’m not sure what the deal is with the parents but the plaintiff is ratchet so that’s all I see…

One time I came home to the youngest, who looked around four, with his pants down peeing in the street. They leave their toys scattered all over the road. They blocked my driveway when I’m trying to pull in. Or they’re out at 10 PM at night screaming to the top of their lungs playing outside. No respect for other neighbors.

The defendant is way off base. He's using someone's choice of words to deny them what's fair in the situation that his child got himself into when he wasn't supervising him. That's irresponsible and just teaches your kid how to lie and point fingers and not take responsibility for their actions. On any case, when you are inconvenienced due to harassment or damages, the judge should allow those damages as well. One problem caused the other... (and companies and organization, etc. certainly collect for that) and laws should be changed to allow for that for individuals as well.
The problem is that it's not a firm amount and it's based on peoples own self worth. Companies are organizations can charge additional fees because you aren't required to do business with them which makes it a choice. While being taken to court is a requirement. Plus what most people on this show describe isn't harassment. They DO make people pay for actual harassment but "They were annoying..." isn't harassment.
