Found these miniature home appliances in Toys 'r' us in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Priced at MYRR49.90 each, I've gotten two of them to check the sizes again my 1:6 scale doll like Barbie.
Once opened, the catalogue of items are captivating as the home appliances are cute and realistic.
Will you get one of these for your dolls?
i feel like Mini Brands didn't put much thoughts for this. at this point, they should have known that the people who buy their stuffs is mainly doll collectors so they should've make stuff that are 1:6 scale. i would be very much okay with 1 big bag with perfectly scale object and 2 small bag with small accessories that are also in a good scale.
It’s very sad because they are so cool, the details and how some of the kinda work. Myfroggystuff uses the small items with dolls like Chelsie (like their are playing with them) or Barbie Extra Mini Minis
Toy Mini Brands, Foodie Mini Brands, Mini Fashion are better sizes I guess when put next to a 1:6 scale doll. Well, at least now we know the sizes for this Mini Brands Home. They're cute and realistic, but the scale is the only downside.
I don’t think a 1:6 couch would fit in a ball unless you have to assemble it… I collect extra minis and mini minis so this is perfect
I have 1/12 scale barbies, so I want these.
I'm glad they make it that small cause I'm a 1/12 miniature collector
You can use the sofa for a pet

Wow, I hadn't heard of these! I normally to have to order these types of miniatures from Japan, like T-fal brand appliances in 1/6 scale. I will definitely be buying a few. I love how the microwave and food processor were boxed. It is a shame it isn't quite 1/6 scale for Barbie so maybe I will use them with smaller dolls instead. I think Mini Brands should stop trying to fit everything into these balls and would've preferred they give us less home items but in a slightly bigger size.
Yes, we can definitely use these items for our smaller scale dolls. I'm aiming at the air fryer cos it looks so cute in the catalogue, though I can guess the size maybe slightly small too.
Hi, what websites do you use to order your items from Japan!! Their miniature items are normally really nice
The stool is more like a plant stand and the sofa could be a pet bed... The chopper is the size my sister bought from the dollar store its for garlic and Herbs... The bin could be like the novelty bin for a desk or a tiny kitchen top compost... Maybe the microwave can be for barbie mini mini or Chelsea
Yes I guess it'll most probably suit Barbie Extra Minis and maybe perhaps Licca Dolls. These items are realistic looking, so it may work as all the ideas that you have mentioned
Would be nice if all their items were sized to go together. I won’t be buying these.

Yeah most likely. The items are rather small for 1:6 scale dolls
I'm so over this surprise ball stuff. I mean a lot of the things are super cute, but it's annoying to pay $10 to hope you get one or two things you can use. The scale is all over the place, too small for 1:6, but too big for 1:12. Rement is a better value as long as you can afford to get the complete collection all at once.
I love Re-ment. Not the easiest to get them over here in Malaysia. So when I visit Japan, it's a must have, and they're realistic. This Mini Brands Home is realistic too, however the sizes are like what u mentioned, not consistent

Yes, the items are smaller than expected, I'm wondering whether the air fryer is small too... Cos I want the air fryer.

Thank you for posting this video! Based on what you’ve shown, with the scale being so inconsistent I think I’ll be skipping buying both this Home collection & the Retro products collection too. While some items do work with 1:6, it’s a lot to spend if so many things aren’t the right size.
Oh I saw the Retro review, brings back memories especially the hard disk. Lol. Yeah I have to say some of the items in Mini Brands Home is tad bit smaller for our 1:6 scale dolls. Perhaps it may work on Barbie Extra Minis.
Shame about the scale for some doll sizes but there is a variety of ranges of doll/toy lines these will work with. I've not heard of the Home series in the US yet. Heck I haven't even found the Mini Brands Book series in my own stores (Target included)... a lot of the lines seem to be sporadic depending on where you are located :(
I have not seen anyone else open up these balls. Oh you can use the lip couch for the doll pet's bed.
This line looks perfect for 1:12 scale! Can't wait to find it in the US.😊

These look good in the background of our doll setups. But when placed nearer to Barbies, they do look smaller for our 1:6 scale dolls.
Calico critters would be good for some of those.

I am not impressed with the Mini Brands. I buy things for my Barbies. I do love the ReMent though. So cute.
Re-ment has great stuff too. But it's difficult to get Re-ment here in Malaysia

The microwave is so realistic, it'll be a good deco piece for our dolls but a small sized ones.
12:06 I was disappointed that you didn’t show yourself opening the box for the microwave and taking all the parts out. In my experience, the way they have those appliances packaged in this series is one of the best parts. Also, I like to see the little pieces before they are assembled.
Sorry about that. I'm super clumsy when it comes to assembling tiny stuff. So, I'd usually not record that process as it'll turn out to be a huge mess.
Thanks for sharing this, as I was looking forward to these capsules for my Barbie dolls but now I’ll keep my coins for other purchases and just order what I want from other places.

I say chelsea or mini barbies these might work better for. I like the appliances but they're too small for barbies and kens to use
Yes, unfortunately these appliances are too small for our Barbies and Ken, unless it's really at the background for deco purposes.

13:30 I’m studying Japanese, so I can read, and with the help of google translator I could understand the words I didn’t know. The number 5 says something like “mini cookie, enjoy”. Number 6 has kanji, which I can’t read yet, but I can see the English version: “delicious sweets”. Number 7 I understand only part of it, it says “petit gateau”, maaaybe everything means “corner kids’s petit gateau”? Idk

Really interesting collection. The little vanity chair can be used as a stand for food or the lamp. The tiny bin can be like a kitchen counter top compost bin. The other appliances are like the ones made for the dormitory!

13:34 Number 1 means “welcome”. Number 2 is “which one should I choose…?”. Number 3 says literally “I’m fascinated by the showcase” (Japanese is weird ndjsnamc, probably they mean something like “the showcase is amazing”

@@ArtieArdee sadly not yet XD I know just a few. At least just one phrase had kanji, the rest was katakana and hiragana. The only exception is number 3, it has the kanji “見”, which I know is “look”

10:36 ❤❤. The mirror could possibly be used "attached", somehow to a (barbie) sized vanity looking desk like item. You can make a vanity out of something, that wasn't originally a vanity. And the food processor, if supposed to be modeled after an actual mini processor, ... is not really too far off scale. Mini processors are much smaller than full, or even mid sized ones. Just something to keep in mind.❤ .
I would use the little stuff for the pets lol 😂
