    Very nice work Mark. It's always a bittersweet moment when they go.

      Thank you,
      It is strange after looking at them for so long and having them always waiting in the shop for you. It is nice to feel that sense of accomplishment and actually finish a project which can be so hard on these builds that sometimes go one for years and even decades. Nice to have the shop empty and all cleaned up though...

      He is for sure thanks. He has some minor additions he wants to get to later once the sting from all that money spent wears off but the car is complete and ready to enjoy.

    Hey Mark
    That thing is Bad Azz Amigo.
    What a sense of accomplishment for you⚠️
    If I had done that work I’d just want to sit around
    and look at for a couple of weeks before I gave it back. 😎

      Hey Jack, The owners are always anxious to get them back and after working on it and looking at it for so long it is actually nice to get it completed and out of the shop. John lives close by so I can see it whenever I want. 😃

      Thank you Doug. He is happy and enjoying the car taking it out often which is what is supposed to happen. The hood for the 3100 is next but my truck got wrecked a little so I need to get that fixed first.

      Thanks, it came out really nice. The owner has a few more touches he wants to do but that has to wait till the sting of all that money he spent wears off a little.

      @@luzgarcia9499 That is so hard to say. I think there was about 7K in parts alone for the Malibu and I had a lot of hours of work into the car. Since he is a friend he got a huge break on labor. Finding someone you can trust is the hardest part. I have seen so many hack jobs that cost 50K in labor it isn't funny. Most reputable shops will have clearly stated labor rates and will charge by the hour and most importantly have references from former customers. There still needs to be an estimate but you need to know exactly what you want done, show truck or driver. NEVER tell them how much money you want to spend or what your budget is because they will magically come in just under your number most of the time. I don't know anyone in your neck of the woods so ask around at car shows who painted their car/truck and check the quality of the work and ask them if they are happy. 99% of body shops do not want to take on these projects as they make way more money and faster money on insurance work, mostly bumpers and collision work.

      Thanks Justin. I wish I had time to help everyone personally but I can't. That is why I started the channel in hopes of helping others make their ride as nice as can be. If I can do this work you can totally do it too.

    How much did John pay to buy this 65 SS and how much do you think it is worth now?

    • @FoothillPaintandFabrication
      @FoothillPaintandFabrication  3 місяці тому +1

      I don't know if John is cool with me discussing his personal business but I will ask him if it is okay and get back to you. I just installed Edelbrocks Pro flo 4 fuel injection in the SS last month so it is worth even more now...

    No id the motor????????

    • @FoothillPaintandFabrication
      @FoothillPaintandFabrication  Рік тому +2

      Sorry about that Ed. I didn't build the motor so I forgot to mention what it is. GM 350 Crate Engine, 385hp with Fast Burn Aluminum Heads is all I know about it. Didn't have much time on it from what I understand.
