Finally she tapped into her natural heel side, idk what she was on the past couple of weeks. I understand they was trying to make her a baby face cause of her time away but she’s at her best as a heel. That ego she had is what makes her one of the best. Glad to see her finally showing out
That's probably why they held out on her first match too. Give things a couple of months to get out of the "we glad she back" phase, then feel out what side to put her on.

Think long range booking. Mercedes beats Willow for the title, holds it for a while until Willow beats her for it down the road. This can be a long feud to elevate Willow and prepare her for the AEW women's championship scene.

This has been the best promo by Mercedes since she got into AEW. They both did excellent here. They finally understood that her as a face is not her thing, but when she’s a heel, Mercedes is going to eat down everytime.

By far Mercedes best promo since debuting in AEW. Other commenters are right she's just a natural heel despite seeming like a natural face IRL. Willow is also waaaaaaayyy better on the mic than I thought she would ever be given her super cheery gimmick. She's like a thiccer Bayley. Lol. I hope they tear it up in Vegas.
It was her least bad. She still sounds fake; but at least she was 80% fake, as opposed to 200% fake like she was weeks before. BTW, they still never explained how the injury happened and why Mone is that angry at Willow for that injury. No videos, no photos, nothing.
This build up is fire! Looking forward to Double or Nothing and wishing these gals all the best!
