My dogs weigh about 70 lbs and I’d say the coyotes here in Northern NY are probably half as big as my dogs. Great video ! We hear coyotes at night but never see them

We are about to purchase some acreage and develop a flock on there. We have been told by some old trappers and hunters to go out trap and hunt and kill the coyotes before putting sheep out. What are your thoughts on this.

This was great. Everyone told me to do what you said not to do. I have a small flock 2 ewes one about to deliver and the prey animal killed our lamb.

You’ll have to act quickly especially now that they know where to find a meal. I would consider investing in a dog and in the mean time, you may be able to live trap them or hunt them. Now that they have attacked, your options are definitely limited. We are very sorry you’re dealing with this. I’m sure it is very stressful.

@@LinessaFarms Yes I live on the outlines of a city and they are doing tons of construction. I have been putting them in my garage at night. I am in the process of buying a larger homestead.

Great video, too much background music.

Not sure how trapping is irresponsible, seems like there is a lack of knowledge on the topic…

Pretty well explained in the video. You can watch it again if it helps.

I did watch the full video, that’s why I commented about the given topic. You obviously know very little about the trapping regulations, which are there to ensure humane practices. Besides that part, it was a great video.
