AFRICA AI VILLAGE : Bridging Gaps for Stronger Global AI Ecosystem (2025 Paris AI Action Summit)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is driving transformation across Africa, presenting unparalleled opportunities to address developmental challenges and create innovative solutions. Despite this rapid growth, African perspectives have been largely underrepresented at previous AI Action Summits. This lack of inclusion has led to policies and strategies that do not fully reflect Africa’s unique challenges and opportunities, risking the misalignment of AI development with the continent’s priorities and needs. To bridge this gap, the Africa AI Village serves as a platform to amplify African voices, showcase innovation, and drive meaningful participation in global AI discussions. The initiative seeks to position African stakeholders as key contributors to shaping the global AI narrative, ensuring that policies, investments, and collaborations reflect Africa’s realities and aspirations.
Hosted by Smart Africa, Qhala, Qubit Hub and the Rwanda Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, this high-level gathering brings together policymakers, innovators, and industry leaders to explore how AI can drive economic growth, innovation, and social inclusion across Africa. The Africa AI Village is a dedicated space within the Paris AI Action Summit to amplify the African voice and ensure meaningful participation in global AI discussions. The event is providing a platform for African AI stakeholders to:
