Amazingly beautiful, unspeakably touching. Both the song and the video.
I don't know what this was, but I've been feeling incredibly down and depressed lately due to Covid-19, political situation across the world, difficulties studying, dreams of the future and all. I remember this song from long ago, and I remember when I heard it years and years ago it brought me joy and peace that only a few songs ever can. Imagine my surprise now to see that you added this just an hour ago. Thank you so much for this timeless piece of music, and thank you for bringing peace to a troubled mind.
It's the Lord's Prayers in Swahili made into song for the game Civilization IV's main title screen.
Yay! Happy 15th anniversary of one of my favorite songs of all time mister Tin! :>
Thank you for amazing piece! This reminds me my favorite African proverb.

And I also lost my mind when the Navy Band showed up...I’ve seen their full video of it only about a thousand times!
Wow, I didn't realize Baba Yetu is 15 years old in 2020.
2005 was a very memorable year in my life as I was growing up, when I completed middle school, three significant years in my K-12 education, and then received my Confirmation.
I first heard Baba Yetu performed during the Baccalaureate Service in the Chapel of the Resurrection the morning of the day I graduated from Valparaiso University in 2013.
This piece really speaks to the sense of celebration we have in faith, because God aids us in struggles and rejoices in moments of joy with us, too.
You have created a masterpiece Mr. Tin. One that I have never grown tired of for 15 years ;)
15th Years !!! Master Piece !!!!

Very nice!!💓👏 Thank you so much from my heart and congratulations👏👏👏👏👏🎵🎶💓
I'm brasilian, but since I had discovered this song, some thing inside me had changed. Every time I hear Baba Yetu my soul is transported to a place in Africa, that I still don't know, but it's transcendental and amazing. Thanks so much for all!
I've never even played Civ IV but I will watch and listen to every version of this masterpiece of a song. I'm already looking forward to the 20th anniversary version!
Awesome... Glad I got to be a part of this. 🙂
Thanks!!! 😊
LCPS Virtual Choir is definitely one of the best ones out there. Glad to see them included. They did an exceptional job. Another good one which doesn't look like it got included is also here on UA-cam entitled "2015 All-State Music Festival: Baba Yetu", from IOWA PBS channel.
The best version of this song is the original that shipped with Civ IV.
Fight me.
Have you listen to the Stellenborsh Choir version. In my view, it is the best one : ua-cam.com/video/PCa8RxaOPW8/v-deo.html
This is the ultimate proof:
THIS great musician certainly CAN stand the test of time
Goosebumps everytime!

Thank you and thanks to all participants!
So many voices, so many colors. Thank you, Christopher, for this piece and for the inspiration it has been bringing since I first heard it years ago. It is still on my ringtone and in my heart.
I remember doing this song with my HS chorus. What a great piece
No surprise that Christ Jesus prayer in Swahili would be the first game song to win a Grammy. Hallelujah!!
The beauty of this music never fails to amaze me.
The first piece of art I ever heard from you, Mr. Tin! I fell in love with your music and the art you create. Thank you for being alive at the same time as I am!
I've cried with this song for the past fifteen years. Here I am again. Thank you.
This puts a smile to my face 😊
This is truly epic, inspiring by inviting and compiling pieces from fans of BAba Yetu all over the world. World united in Baba Yetu and driving vibe up in the face of pandemic. Christopher, you are truly amazing again am saying this.
Why won’t it stop raining on my face? Thank you for gifting humanity with hope in these dark times.
Thank you so, so much.
sorry i'm french: cette musique me donne des frissons à chaque fois que je l'écoute. je ne m'en lasse pas.
Wow.....I wasn’t sure how much I needed that until I watched it. Seeing people together, celebrating life, bonding over a song....it means a lot in these dark times.
I can't wait.
15 years and this song still moves me to tears so easily. Mr. Tin, your music gives a voice to the people like nothing I've ever heard before. Thank you for your beautiful work!
Awesome seeing all these different groups from all over the world united in your song. Personally very glad to see the Cape Town Youth Choir representing South Africa!
This is just beautiful. Thank you.
I've heard this song a hundred times, and it always warms my heart and lifts my spirit.
But it's been a long time since it caused me to openly weep like this.
The thought of what people consider to be "the world's anthem" ACTUALLY becoming such, that one song echoes across imagined divisions and differences, across so many cultures...
Well done, sir. Well done. Maybe there's hope for humanity after all.
Amazing, how this song bring so many people together
Still being belted out by choirs - only last week it was sung in a choir festival! 💕🎶🎶
Shed a tear, simply beautiful.
The world is a richer place for this song's existence.
Bravo! Grazie Mille! ❤
Even after 15 years, this music still one of the best!
Saw myself - I'm thrilled!

The words "Thank You" aren't really adequate, but they are what I have. Bless you.
15 years go by so quickly. I remember listening to this song when I was studying in uni by leaving Civ4 running in the opening menu. It gives me chills everytime when I listen to the first five seconds of the song. So much memories for such a beautiful song. Thank you.
Honored to pass in this life. Passing on that holy masterpiece. Thank you Chris!
I actually sang this with my music class some years ago!
Amazing to see all these people still singing these beautiful words!
Celebrities: a video of us singing imagine will give people the hope they need to get through this year.
Christopher Tin: Hold my cultural victory.
Best comment ever :D
It did give hope. Celebrities singing and showing people hope is what was needed.
Christopher Tin however his song did one better. It reaches into the heart of every human who has a soul.
