absolutely
can you do Disturbed's songs "If ever I lose my Faith in you" and " Hold on to the memories"? They are both phenomenal songs and the emotion they evoke is soul shaking.
Stupify
@@Crystalheart4u2 100% agree 👍
"A reason to fight " is one of my favourite Disturbed songs..Both the studio and live versions. You should check them out.. Watch the studio version first. I cried watching the live one.

I love watching reaction videos to this song. As David builds the energy, the reactors start to get excited. And I say “Wait, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!”
excatly, wait for it, the best will just come now :-D
God works in mysterious ways!!!😂😂❤❤❤❤🎉
even Paul Simon has admitted this is the best cover he's ever heard
I believe PS was referring to the Conan O Brian live, but i might be mis remembering. Any way you view it, masterpiece is written all over it. Stay well
@@kswillis3854 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sound_of_Silence#Cover_by_Disturbed
It's the only cover PS has ever pinned on his own page.
This is not a song you listen to, it is a cover you feel. Truly brilliant
I've heard Pentatonix and yes, it's good but...I LOVE this version do much more. David Draiman is an amazing singer. This song, this version, is my absolutely my favorite song of all time...and I'm 71!!!
His live performance on Conan O’Brien is amazing too, especially because he was sick while performing!
Yeah that is my favorite version of this...I watched it like 20 times lol.
Yes, I agree. Totally amazing
Yes!! Loved it ❤
YES!!!
Ya that was the best live performance ever. Guy was sick too. Just insane
My favorite cover ever 🖤
It doesn't get any better than this. Goosebumps.
This is my FAVORITE version of Sound of Silence! His growly voice slays me!
Goosebumps! It´s not often a cover is better than the original, but this is the exception. I saw them when they came to sweden a few years ago........ it's even better live.
You are right.... it’s good for the soul!! Great content!
I'm a pentaholic and I do like ptx version of this but Disturbed's version is just so incredible,, and the video is so intense. I don't think anyone can top this version
Same. I love PTX and their version is amazing. But this version tells a powerful story and it will always be my favorite version
Try the live version from the Conan O'brien Show...it's jaw-dropping
Yea, can't be topped. Absolutely epic rendition of the song...sung as it should have been from start.
I think of each version of this song this way: Simone and Garfunkel is the warning, Disturb is the anger that the warning wasn't listened to, and Pentatonix is the hope that we can come together and fix it. Great reaction!🥰😁
Nicely put!!
That’s a very interesting take.
Brilliant. I never thought of it that way before but yes yes yes
Pentatonic is good but doesn't compare to Disturbed
Love this!
Wow! Your reaction was so genuine and amazing, but your suggestion of them covering Hallelujah got me in the feels! With David Dramain's classically trained voice, I can only imagine the result! We need this to happen!! 🙏🙏🙏
you need to see it live on conan , he was sick but still friggin delivered , amazing live performance
The gold standard of Disturbed and Sound of Silence is the Conan O Brian Live! The lyrics and performance are a masterpiece. If I'm not mistaken it won an Emmy. Stay well
My favorite cover of this song..intense, epic, just no words...it is powerful!
Disturbed’s version hits all your musical senses…You see it, feel it, and hear it all in a powerful crescendo into finally uniting the music with the musicians…Brilliant!
Thanks for your well felt reaction!
I love watching reaction videos of songs that move my soul…However, this cover by ‘Disturbed’ is always stopped for reaction just as it’s building to a new level…99% of male reactors do this, and I have to be honest and descriptive here (wives will understand what I mean🫢)…
It’s like the act of physical love being expressed and you are in a rhythmic flow toward a beautiful climax and suddenly…
your 6 yo. is knocking on the bedroom door…🙄🫤
Thanks for your beautiful reaction…
🦋Lily🦋
This song touched my heart first time i heard it from Disturbed by the time it was over tears were rolling down my face. I was lucky enough to see them do it live.
David Draiman looks into your soul while singing this.. absolute incredible cover of this classic. Chills everytime
YYAAYYYY!!!!! if you haven't already heard this you are going to FLIP! You should also watch the live version from conan
There is a UA-cam interview where David Draiman talks about how they decided to do this cover.
Fantastic version of Disturbed, fantastic reaction, thank you!!!
NO ONE CAN TOP THIS VERSION BECAUSE THE MAN RIPS YOU OUT OF YOUR SEAT AND DRAGS YOU ON A JOURNEY OF THE SOUL WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT! I love looking at people's faces in these reaction video of this one song to see if they really "get it"! Can't stop watching this song by this artist and I grew up with the Simon and Garfunkel song which made me cry every time but this one makes you want to get up and do something!
Disturbed DID JUSTICE FOR THIS SONG….❤️❤️❤️❤️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
David Draiman is classically trained and his operatic baritone twist to heavy metal makes him one of the best American vocalists ever.
His voice training comes from being a Cantor for his Synagogue.
Not classically trained
It was supposed to be a harder version than this, but I believe it was the guitarist that suggested they slowed it down. And here you have it, pure history. Paul Simon was so impressed and moved by Disturbed's version. He shared it on his social media. Great reaction...
I don't think anyone could do a better rendition of this song.
Disturbed singing The Sound of the Silence Live is the best. Please react to the live performance.
David Draiman...a voice to die for! A powerful yet soulful voice that can go from warm baritone to angelic tenor, from clear as a crystal to rasp/distortion/vocal fry and back on a dime, which is incredibly difficult to do and he makes it look so damn easy! He has a timbre in his voice that I've never heard before.....just hauntingly beautiful and pure tonal properties to it! An awesome talent and obvious training to deliver what he does!! Can sing like an angel or the devil ! Loved your reaction and your take on David's performance NJ. Try "Deceiver", "The Night", "Indestructible", "The Light", "Enough", "Violence Fetish" by Disturbed too. Btw, David wanted to go back further than they've gone before for a cover and Mike suggested SOS because it was a favorite of his dad's.
Everything you said is right on. Awesome breakdown
Your eyes watching his eyes was the best part..thank you..epic reaction..🦋🎼🎶...more like this please...
Best ever unbelievable voice and band 🤘🤘🤘
Disturbed's version gave me goosebumps and had me in tears at the same time. David Draiman is such an amazing singer.
Thanks NJ!! So happy you reacted to this! I discovered Disturbed through this song. The original S&G version came out when I was about 7 and I loved it so much I learned every word. Like the others before me, I HIGHLY recommend watching the live version too. I never listened to heavy metal music before but went on to discover how much I love not just the vocals of Draiman, but the talent of the musicians. Lost my sis this year so listening a lot to 'Hold on to Memories'...another Disturbed vibe similar to this one. But I also love Stricken, Simplify, Down with the Sickness....etc. Thank you so much, Borahae
Not only the best cover of all time, it's the best video too.
FIrst time i've listened to David's take on this song I cried like a baby. Goosebumps and tears, i felt like listening to this song cleansed my mind of a lot of things i got pent up and i released them alogside his voice. You're really right, it's incredible what human beings are capable of.
I want this cover by Disturbed to be played both at my wedding and at my funeral. Not even kidding.
Every time I hear Disturbed sing this song it gives me chills. David has one fantastic voice and I love the way they did the video. Great job guys!
It's the context...this is perfection but even better because of the preconceived notion that it's Disturbed. They hit you with the unexpected greatness.
The only best cover the first time I heard it was in my car and i needed to stop bc i can't stop crying
Simon and Garfunkle gave us this song as a warning, David and the band gave us this song, sharing his hurt, angst and angry frustration that we've not heeded that message.
Paul simon GAVE this song to David, and says its his now, to share carry on the message.
The ONLY song cover that Paul Simon links to!
Ps...one of my FAVE first reactions ever!! XXX
Im a big rock and metal guy and you couldnt get a more perfect version of this. Disturbed is such a great band. Love Davids voice.
Blows me away every time. I’ve seen him perform it in concert and omg!!
Dave Draimon is something else. Gives me chills every time. You should have a listen to Simon and Garfunkel's version from 1964. Paul Simon loved this! More Disturbed? Yes, please.
Besides the live version on Conan there is another live version you would really enjoy. It's from a Disturbed concert in Houston and it features Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge. Definitely. Watch. That. One.
Pentatonix are a few singers, this is 1 vocalist. David grabs your heart and soul with this rendition like NO ONE can achieve as well as he did! Powerful, profound and EPIC!!!
The song was touching the bottom of the heart very much. The tones were in a moderate mode so that it could be sung alon with. Thanks much
Good react man 👍❤️for a cover Masterpiece 💪🎶I like it and have always goosebumps...Paul Simon also convinced 😊
I just LOVE that man, that voice and this song! 🥰 My favourite band! ❤️
It took a lot of very very smart people to put this all together unreal ❣️
Love this cover so much 👍🏻🤯.
“Isn’t it amazing though, what human beings are capable off” Great quote for a great song. Love the reaction mate all the best 👍 new sub
I’m a metal head and stan BTS 💜💜💜, this is one of my favourite Simon and Garfunkel songs, his voice is so powerful it’s a killer
I don't know if anyone already said this but they were deciding which song they wanted to cover. I think it was the pianist who suggested Silence nobody else agreed.
But they tried it and here we are.
I may have the details wrong but this is how I remember it.
His voice is powerful and haunting. I am not a metal fan but this guy's voice is outstanding!!
first time i have ever heard them. I will never forget them
This is what I call feelings.
Best version of this iconic song hand down
This is the best Version. David owns this song now. The band did a great job also.❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
Super, super reaction, brother. A voice for these troubled times.
In interview David said they had been looking at 90's song for a cover, then 80's, no luck, David said let's go back to 60's or 70's. One of the band members brought in sos and they all clicked, then one member suggested slowing the tempo... which kicked off a collaboration, then he said he had to figure out how to sing it they did many versions and kept narrowing in on the parts they loved until they came up with this. Paul Simon linked this on his social media , said it made him cry and was the best cover he had ever heard.
This is an amazing cover of a brilliant song, 1st done by Simon & Garfunkel warning us, if we don't change our ways we are headed for destruction, and Disturbs version is angry, because we didn’t listen to the warnings... 😌 I always feel this song is like a rollercoaster ride, slowly brings you to the top, then crashing to the bottom.....Great reaction!!!
I gather David Draiman is a trained Jewish Cantor, not a classically trained opera singer.
He says in an interview that one of the band members wanted to do this cover, having loved the song all his life. But he wanted to keep it entirely acoustic. It took a lot to persuade the rest of the band (including David). But for them all it is now a beautiful highlight in their performance set.
Paul Simon himself has endorsed this cover as the best version that has been done.
I'm in tears every time I listen to it. The power is overwhelming.
This is a Blessing. God is trying to get our attention ❤️
I once read a comment that the original performance was a warning, and this remake a threat! The best comment on this masterpiece!
This is the best cover af any song...PERIOD.
I’ve binged watched loads of these reaction reviews on this song and yours was simply the best … simple words and explanation and natural reaction .. 👏👏
You need to listen to this song live on Conan o’brian
Agree....it's mind-blowing
Pentatonix focuses on the beautiful harmonies. Disturbed is emotional & passionate. Big difference. And you are right I would love to see how they would do Hallelujah!
Check out their cover of Sting's "If I ever lose my faith in you"
You wont be disappointed.
Also check out an original of their's called "Darkness"
The lead singer loves S&G. He was really hesitant to cover this song but they screwed around with it a few times after completing one of their albums (cant remember which one). They ended up keeping it because how good it was. Simon and Garfunkel actually praised them for it. This is amazing. Been listening to them since they came out. Often an overlooked band. You should check out Darkness from their Believe album and Hold On To Memories. Nice reaction man. Loved the vid. Also a person who also has long hair. Like yours man. Well kept.
Who could even compare to this?!?! WOW!
I heard that there was a interview with David Draiman, the lead singer, about the band's decision to cover this song. In the course of their conversations, one of the band members (not sure who) said that they should strip down the song, starting with David and just keyboards, and build up from there. I was curious to hear that Disturbed, a heavy metal band, was doing a cover version of a such a classic song. I was expecting this loud and boisterous piece of music. I was shocked and very surprised to hear it. It's an exceptional piece of music and David Draiman is an exceptional musician/artist.
Thank you for honoring Disturbed…..
When a song has you talking about the beauty of humanity you know it's good.
I Love Disturbed......AMAZING AF! David ❤
You need to react to their cover of Stings: If Ever I Lose My Faith In You and the song Hold On To Memories. They will blow you away!
Hold on to memories is an amazing song. I lost my daughter 3 years ago. Their song hits right in heart. I thank them for the song
Hallelujah by Disturbed, hell yeah!
Love your channel! This song is AMAZING!
I'm 73 and love Disturbed
best reaction to this song ive seen. and ive seen most of them. good stuff
Love watching minds being blown. 🤯
I grew up listening to the original... THIS gives me chills EVERY time!! Great reaction! First time watching you
Brilliant cover, Amazing Group...Thank you, Peace
SURE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE HIM PERFORM AT OUR MOVEMENT AT THE (FREEDOM CONVOY) THIS SONG 🎧 EXPLODE 🤯 IN OUR MOVEMENT, BUT WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🪧🪧🪧🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Oh That's Such a Great Idea For Them To Do Hallelujah 🤘🏻
I love this version, I often listen to it. For me, the best cover of this song, and even better than the original (and I even listen to it in concert , with Simon and Garfunkel) because the emotion and passion Disturbed put it . It's hit the heart, and even make me cry.
I hope on day, you will react to some Scorpions or Mettalica stuff, it's been a looooong time since I've heard them
Great reaction!
If you enjoyed the studio version, I would very much like to hear your reaction to their live performance of this song on Conan. Despite being ill that day, David Draiman delivered a performance for the ages, complete with an orchestra. Paul Simon reached out to the group after the performance to congratulate them as he posted it on his social media, calling it the best cover of any of his songs ever. Conan celebrated the performance last year as it became the first video from his show to hit 100 million views.
Keep up the great work!
They came up with the idea when choosing a song to cover and most were thinking songs 80's or 90's but I think David suggested 60 & 70's.
One of the others suggested this song .
its todays Battle Cry, War Cry.
After laying down tracks on the day he was not even due to do any , he did it for three hours and came out of the booth and everyone was stonefaced and just WOW, he came back 3 days later and listened to it when it was ready and he had to look away because his eyes were tearing up and he didn't want the others to see . It was pretty much the first time the whole band was in together at same time which was a rare thing. There's an interview of him talking all about it.
Yeah.. Disturbed been around so long, and never thought he had such a damn voice. Man...
Definitely listen to the conan version. Also, other steps away from the heavy stuff, a reason to fight is an amazing song by them and their cover of if I ever lose my faith in you was also great
His official video received over 800 million views.
The live performance on Conan performed while David Draiman was sick will really show his talent. Please check it out and also try Disturbed's Hold on to Memories.
Tom Cruise has a pretty convincing British accent and the facial hair is on point. I love this new character 😁
Blows the original out of the water very few covers surpass the original but this one does by far
In the Conan version, you can hear it in his voice (the cold/illness) for the first few lines, then it gets stronger
Ya crazy build up, but so smooth. Amazing
So if you loved this version. Please check out his live performance of this song on Conan O’Brien Show. Even better if possible. And he was ill with the flu but still killed it. Paul Simon was so impressed he called him after Conan and told him he made the song his own. Loved it so much he posted the link to that performance on his social media pages. And yessss is love to hear him cover Hallelujah!
Hopefully, by now you have seen the Conan O'Brien Show performance on 3/28/2016. This performance was with a 20-piece orchestra behind David Draiman. He was sick and was sitting on a stool to sing. This performance has been viewed over 100 million times(the most of any of the Conan shows). The audience gave them a standing ovation and applause for over 10 minutes, the set was nominated for a Grammy, and the backstage people came out to see who was singing.
Deep deep deep that voice I wish I have my god
This Slays Pentatonix
The band was going to do an 80's song and David suggested they go back even further into the 60's or 70's.
