If someone is not managing to install the driver because of a similar error but with a "file not found" message, it is related to language. Just unzip the driver you downloaded from HP (download an english language driver), find the "English" folder, copy that (duplicate in the same folder) and rename of the duplicated folder to your computer language (in my case it was Portuguese) and it will work fine. Normally it happens with people that doesn't live in a country that tje language is different from the computer language.
If you need help on it, you can reply here and I can try to help you :) (if the problem is the same I had)

@@OnesCreativeMindCrochet Unfortunately not. I tried many many different "solutions" found online, but nothing worked. It's likely some corrupt file somewhere in the system. When one computer repair guy mentioned "re-installing windows" (a cop-out suggestion they often make because they're too lazy or inept to actually figure out the problem), I gave up and hooked the printer up to my wife's computer, without any issues.
