i love crafting and doing things with my hands. i crochet, knit, make origami, play the harp and occasionally the piano, draw, make bracelets, and many many other things. ive always wanted to pick up the skill of making balloon animals. recently, ive obtained twisting balloons and im so excited. youve made this journey so much easier!! thank you :D
When using the two stroke 260 pump, roll the balloon on the nozzle, but hold the nozzle still. Instead, move the body of the pump back and forth. You'll find it much easier. I can't inflate a 260 by mouth, so I use a 260 pump. And that's all I use. Get a good one, take care of it, use it properly, and it will serve you well. The pump is ment to come apart. That's for cleaning.. Don't take the pump apart all the time, but do take the pump apart. You'll notice there are different parts inside. Each part needs to be there for the pump to work properly. At the end of the long rod is the piston. There's a top disc and a bottom disc. Between the two discs are two rubber what I call gassgets Carefully remove them. Use a dry cloth, not a damp cloth to clean them. Set them a side . Look inside the space where you removed the two gassgets. Do you see any dirt? If so, clean the inside.. Then carefully put back the two gassgets. Without the gassgets, the pump will not work at all.
I learned the very basics mainly by just twisting dollar store ballons (my dollar store sells twisting ballons though they aren't that long) I figured out how to make a dog and am trying to learn other things
i just want to add i got my son, who is in addiction recovery, balloons for his bday ...to try to give him SOMETHING he might be able to handle & enjoy & make some $ $$ at markets with & while my thanks may seem just normal its actually HUGE because ur teaching basics in this brilliant way actually reaches him & teaches...like how to fish instead of giving him a fish i are clear & simple & show not a finished animal but how to manipulate balloons i feel he can really grow from this & really get some enjoyment € purpose... i've tried so many things & he just ... its too hard or he's too depressed or did too much damage idk i tell u all this so u know my thanks is really huge i cannot wait to see what he might come up with from here & i suspect he will LOVE this & the smiles he gets from ppl & kids when he makes balloon animals & hats & swords & flowers ...for them mahalo nui loa
Aloha for your kind words. I have friends in similar circumstances that find balloons intriguing and uplifting. Using balloons, we all can bring light and joy to people and find hope and inspiration in mundane life. I hope your son continues to find balloons as an enjoyable practice. Finding healthy activities to keep us occupied and engaged can really make a huge difference in the long term. I used to hate running and yoga, but when I lived in Hawaii, I committed to them as healthy daily activities to keep me stable when I was experiencing an extremely difficult time and finding ways to cope. I have learned to love them & they have given so much back to me - like a friend who is always there and wants me to succeed. Thank you for sharing how my videos have made a difference in your life. I am rooting for your son - He has a lot to give to the world. I hope he finds activities and hobbies that are healthy and fulfilling to him and beneficial to those around him :) Mahalo for watching & wishing you and your ohana the best. -Joey
I had to restart the video because I haven't done hardly anything with the balloons I bought years ago (stored right but they might not be any good anymore anyway), but I'm a plant fanatic and got distracted by the nice scene behind you lol! I'll try with the balloons another day but did go back and watch what you were doing too.
I did subscribe Im hoping with your help and your videos i will be able to do this. Im sure i will be doing a-lot of pausing and rewinding. Thank you for taking time to do this..,
Why cannot I do the quick break with a thumb nail? Can it be because of the balloons I am using are somehow extra durable or just because I do not have long enough nails?? :(
The quick break is possible even with short finger nails. Make sure the balloon is not twisted or stretched out too far where you are trying to break it :)
I was selling balloons but not making them and this child balloon animal got untwisted. I had no clue how to fix it and was feeling 😕. Now i know how i could fix it if it were to happen again.

i are clear & simple & show not a finished animal but how to manipulate balloons
i feel he can really grow from this & really get some enjoyment € purpose...

its too hard or he's too depressed or did too much damage

QUESTION... how on earth do you make the hand pump work?
practice! (or you may have a faulty pump)
It took me a lot of work, but you like do it quite fast

how long does the balloon stay stuck on a wall?
Depends. Couple minutes, hours, or days! You can also tape them to the wall if you need them to stay longer
