I’m currently building my own apartments and guest house. I do everything so fast with top speed anytime I go home. I never hand over to someone due to trust issues. I have brothers who can help but I give them less activities. I’m 90% complete now. My guy. It’s better you do everything yourself these days.

There are many high paying jobs in London and that attracts lots of high earning professionals. Unfortunately most Ghanaians refuse to upgrade themselves and instead of moving to other parts of the UK they simply remain in London and complain about bills. London is good for either a high earners or the average income earner renting a council flat. I live in London and I love ma city but u have to be a professional or an average earner living in council flat to truly appreciate the city.

My honest opinion, if you want something done well you must do it yourself. Spend time and money and supervise your project yourself (even if you have to spend entire time on your project). You will save more money and get the job well done. You simply can't trust anyone, even your own family.😢😢😢😢
The problem is most of us don’t have too much time on our hands. So long story short we entrust some of this project into the hands of family/ friends so at least them been jobless they can get something to manage and take care of their self’s as well..

Nowadays there are companies you can work with. Like we work with some people they are very professional. We do zoom meetings they have excel sheet show pictures what is done, pictures of the phases very professional. They are Ghanaians studied at tech and they also studied and lived abroad and whent back to ghana. So they know both ways. (We are based in Europe though)

Hmmm. A relation of mine experienced the same thing.He nearly went mad. It's very difficult to trust nowadays. It's a systemic failure. There is no trust from the top to the bottom. Ghanaians please and please let's be truthful to each other .

Your brother's issue is not new to most Ghanaians abroad. You might have heard of some of these stories but did not take a clue from them. There's no honest person in Ghana, no, not one, and they know. What you call family is not a family anymore. They're exploiters who extort money from anyone. Your real family is your children and wife, if the wife has not been polluted by her relatives. Lying and dishonesty have moved to the center stage. Now, the best is to buy an apartment from one of those commercial real estates than to build. If you're not building to rent, forget it. Never allow any relative from your side or your wife's side to occupy your property. Build and rent the rooms out. It's good to go to Ghana frequently to supervise your own building. Build to rent so you can make some money.
The only mistake any Burger can make is asking a family member to do a project for you. Before you start a project, make sure 2 or 3 family members and an outsider know about it, that is how you can be safe.

I was duped over £40,000 over a period of 3 years by my cousin. Nothing was done.
