We are loving the Woolworths shopping hauls!!! We have smacked a like on your video!!! Keep the great meal preps and fantastic fresh food recipes and inspiration coming!!!
I find produce can sometimes be a bit hit and miss when I order online. I am thinking that I might start going into the store to get so I can pick the best stuff.
They were so delicious! Might brown the sausages to give them a little bit of texture but I didnt mind it too much. It was more of a sweet and sour dish. So yum.
What a shop massive amount of meals. I stock up on our favourites when there half price. I meal plan like you aswell. I buy the meats on special and than plan the meals according to what's on sale. Same with fresh produce or I buy it frozen.
Great video! Meal planning is definitely one way that helps us save money. I always check to see what’s in my pantry and try to build meal plans around it. We are Aldi shoppers. Not sure if there is an Aldi in Townsville.
Yes love meal planning and also meal prepping. I have been a bit slack lately and need to do some more prepping. Unfortunately no Aldi or Costco in Townsville.
Be interested to know what you think of the home brand Mel, i some times find they may contain more sugar etc..i definitely agree with you about paying more for the fish! Have a great week, look forward to seeing you in your next video x
The poppers or 'fruit boxes' as we call them here in SA you prob won't be a fan because those don't have a high juice % compared with a label. So not all things you can compare easily. Frozen chips, fish, etc are all the same to me, cheese, milk is all the same - I'm a massive coles girl and home brand is all we ever get unless the brand name is CHEAPER than the home brand shelf price or if I get it as a markdown. I do a lot of hauls on my channel to show people this.
Would love to know how the home brand products fared up. Sometimes it can be hit n miss with home brand. When it comes to canned tomatoes MUTTI is far superior and less additives and would usually be twice the price of home brand but often on sale $1 per can so only .20 more than home brand and in fact some home brand is $1 can. Sometimes cheaper home brand will have more salt, sugar and additives. I use TUFFY paper towels from Woolies, a really good brand but often half price so cheaper than home brand ones. All of these superior products are often half price so I stock up then till next sale as I am wary of home brand products. In saying that, I do use home brand sponges, chux wipes and some other stuff. That MUTTI pizza sauce, again a superior one was half price recently at $2 jar, again cheaper than home brand. It does have to be used within so many days though as per label so I’ve frozen some of ours. With your kids food (cereal and yoghurt) maybe next time just buy one home brand yoghurt or whatever for your child to try but don’t let them know it’s home brand etc and see what they think. They may actually like it🤗
Homebrand tomato paste and garlic bread = yes best Homebrand paper towels and cling wrap = no Woolworths sliced cheese = yes, it's good and also vegetarian Woolworths pineapple = no, I prefer the Australian one. Which costs a lot more and no offence to Indonesia but I'm ok with paying the extra $2 and I don't eat heaps of it.

@@mumlifewithmel1460 I am sure it won’t be long until there is an Aldi in Townsville. It will be a complete game changer for you!

Thats a good point. I havent really been looking at the ingredient/macro differences. I will try to have a look when reviewing.

Thanks Kelly. I will have to pop over to your channel to check out your videos.
We buy homebrand for pretty much everything. I also have a price point for fruit and veg, I won't pay over $3 a kg for them.
👍

Great video! Would love to hear how it all went.
Do you have a Aldi and Costco near you? 🙂
Unfortunately no Aldi or Costco.
Homebrand tomato paste and garlic bread = yes best
Homebrand paper towels and cling wrap = no
Woolworths sliced cheese = yes, it's good and also vegetarian
Woolworths pineapple = no, I prefer the Australian one. Which costs a lot more and no offence to Indonesia but I'm ok with paying the extra $2 and I don't eat heaps of it.
I agree. Definitely some hits and misses with Homebrand. I have also added Homebrand scrub sponges to the no pile. Definitely dont last very long.
Cream cheese on pizza?!!
Yes! I drop little dollops around the pizza and it is so delicious. I still have a sprinkle of usually grated cheese.
@@mumlifewithmel1460 I'll have to try it
