First, I'd like to thank you for your class on beginner journaling. I am making two journals for my twin granddaughters (which I've spent a ton of money on for all the "special" things I've bought to decorate the pages and such. It's for their 13th birthdays so I wanted it to be really special. Your videos were perfect for giving me the confidence to make them. I've had all the supplies for months and have not had the nerve to get started. I've now got 2 - 15 page signatures for each one done and I'm ready to tackle the rest of them. There are three more for each book to finish. But I was mostly worried about putting the books together. Now I'm going to do a practice journal to keep for myself first. Great idea! Thank you so much. Now for a question about the glue. I've been using the Glitter glue but I have noticed buckling on thinner pages. I watched your Bearly Art Glue video and I'm ready to purchase that. The thing is there is an original and an acid free version. I'm assuming the acid free is the one I should purchase? What would the original be used for? Thanks for your help on this. I'd love to know the difference and when to use all the different types of glue. It's so confusing!!! SO HAPPY I FOUND YOUR VIDEOS!!!!
Vicki thank you so much for your kind words! nothing pleases me more than to know I helped you get started! I know your girls will love their journals and will enjoy adding goodies for themselves. making a practice journal is definitely a great idea, you'll love it. The glue, you'll love it too...i use the original bc i don't plan my journals to be archive quality, just fun enough to last my lifetime. If you were a serious crafter and use everything in your journal thats acid free, you would use the acid free version. This glue is a wet glue and if you overuse it, it will wet and wrinkle your papers, so use less its industrial quality and sticks like glue!! lol Take care and happy crafting! ♡☆🦋 crafty hugs Donna
I LOVE this glue! I first tried the Art Glitter glue and I think the Bearly Arts Glue is much better. There is no residual stickiness left behind when it dries compared to the Art Glitter glue. Thank you for your review and I look forward to your review of the rubber tip.
I love love love Bearly Arts Glue and have been using it since it came out! It is rather expensive but it doesn’t take a lot of glue and a bottle seems to last forever! I love they include a variety of tips unlike another brand and no issues with shipping during cold weather. If you have hand and wrist issues and worry about using their bottles, I transfer the glue to smaller needle tip bottles with the closures you demonstrated from Amazon and works great for me. TIP if you have a clogged tip with original bottles, I take off the tip and soak the tip in 50% isopropyl alcohol then use a pin to scrap out the softened glue. Works great.
Yay! that's a great praise Margaine and some great tips thanks a lot I have never had a clogged tip yet lol maybe that's bc im a crafta holic and glue everyday lol ♥︎♡☆🦋 hugs Donna
@@karenanderson5239 oh wow, you saw how easy they worked for me and i have a dickie hand (broke my fingers, twice!!) this glue is too strong for it's own bottle it seems lol
I love my little Bear…. It is hall good. I got a large kit like what you had gotten.. that was 5 or 6 years ago…. It does last for me. I do things just for me for fun and gifts.
I love my Bearly. Been using it for the past couple years. Started with Art Glitter glue, switched to Bearly Arts and never looked back. I also use it for gluing fabric in my journals. This is the first time I've seen the little cap, I need to give that a try. Thanks for the share.
I have been using for three years. Once the glue settles into the tips they are impossible to change out. There is no wiggle room for adjustments with this glue and I have never been able to use it on fabric…just doesn’t stick. It is a good strong glue with no warping and lasts forever. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
it's nice to hear your thoughts both good and bad, i haven thad a clogged tip ever, and i agree with you on the wiggle room, you have to get it right the first time down! I have had success on fabric but prefer to use fabric glue for journals and bearly for little scrappy pieces like embellishments. happy creating Karen ♥︎♡☆🦋 hugs Donna
Your round rubber ring goes on underneath the cap. It's pretty nice and the fact that you don't lose it so you can always cap your glue flow tip! I believe you're going to love it! ❤

Hi from 🇨🇦! Totally agree - Bearly Art glue & the included tip options is amazing! I haven’t used vellum a lot in my crafting yet but I’m assuming the main reason for the glue showing when gluing vellum to vellum is a combination of the transparency & the glue wetting the pieces - essentially leaving a “watermark” - which I would then assume would happen with any liquid glue (?) - love the tip to use inconspicuous amounts in places that appear to be part of the vellum design! Have you found any dry adhesive that works well with vellum to vellum - it might be fun to create various things with pieces attached to each other. Thank you for your video!
Hi Ellen, i have a fair bit of vellum bc it was my mums she used it a lot. i also found a can of spray vellum glue in her stash, i know right, i have no idea if it works i havent tried it. what i have tried is to cover the whole area with the peel off adheasive, i have a very wide double sided tape from craftonline.com its like the narrow tape only a good 5" wide on a big roll, it works bc you can't see where it stops and starts. but really i don't glue vellum often to start with, i wanted to include it bc so many do. ♥︎♡☆🦋 hugs Donna
Hello Donna, I haven't seen or heard of this glue before, I'll have to try it out once I've finished my current bottles. I think the little ring goes under the top, I find they are a little distracting to have on but was advised to pop a rubber band around the bottle and tuck the stopper into it while using, have yet to try. Thank you for a great review and take care 😊 - Jeanette
hey Jeanette, i'm pretty confident you'll like it, the first time i used the stopper it got in my road but i moved it around untill it hung where it didnt, its not a bother now. the little plug is so tiny i don't know how anyone could be bothered stopping long enough to pop it under a band lol thanks for the tip xx ♥︎♡☆🦋 hugs Donna
