This test would have been substantially better if you would have included the dry performance difference. Many if not most people that are buying the NT555 are only driving their car in fair weather and don't place much emphasis on wet traction.
What temps did you run on the tires? I have my season opener in a couple of weeks. I will be running the CF wheels with SC2 and then swapping to the SVE/R wheel with the 555G2. So far very impressed. I was thinking starting with 28psi cold. Thanks,
Looks like they used an S197 for the 555 and an S550 for the G2's... if so, not a fair comparison. Also, would like to see some numbers comparing in the dry.
we'll see how good they really are I'm going to pick up a set for my new Charger... either way I'm sure there going to be a lot better then the stock Eagle RS-A's that came on the car... just can't get any traction from the line with these...
+Ish Ecotec - Yes. Or, if they would have tested them as they did and then swapped the tires to the other car and done it again. Even if these cars are identical on paper, there will be differences in performance due to normal manufacturing tolerances.
"10 seconds faster and 20 ft shorter" PBIR is only 2.03 long lmao! I think someone switched into a McLaren vs a different tire! I'm still getting a set but those #s are HIGHLY questionable imo.
+lpatierno84 plays/drives I thoroughly grasp your angle. Fyi I got the G2 in the back. The most notable thing is that the rubber is shinier. Most likely due to the higher silicon content.
I run them on tuned m550i. You will kill yourself if you go into corners in Triple digits. In the wet, you should not be playing with these tires. They have 0 grip even on the AWD car will lose control if you make any quick maneuvers.
Oh man a review by Nitto on their own channel. Definitely a fair review.
top shelf quality i expect from SVTP.

It’s a summer tire. Designed specifically around dry warm temps.

Yea... I think I was drunk when I wrote that. Good catch.

Will it be available in a 305/35/19??
LOL a lot of those shots are sped up 1.5x...ef u nitto, and yes, still buying those tires.
I would of like it little better if they would of used the same car.

I saw no traps or stopwatches involved.
Don't need them when you already know what you're gonna say about them

I wonder if this is all bullshit. You'd be amazed what you can convince yourself of.
