【4K】Walking around Athens Plaka - Monastiraki - Ermou - Syntagma

- During my visit to Athens I thought I'd take a walk around the popular tourist streets of Athens.
Filmed in UltraHD 4K 25p with my Panasonic GH5, Leica DG 8-18mm Lens, Audio-Technica Mic and Beholder EC1 Gimbal. Please excuse me as I am an amateur photographer and I am still finding my way around this system.

I think Greeks really know how to live well on a minimum amount of money. I guess it helps the country is so beautiful and weather mild, but still.. the genius of the people must have something to do with it. I guess that's why the rest of the world embraced classical Greek culture. I hope to visit Plaka ASAP and have some good time there.

Leonidas wasn't a brave soldier. He first got scared of the Persians and wanted to go back to Sparta but the Athenians stoped him. When the Persians incircled the greeks Leonidas probably accidently stayed for too long and had to fight to the last man (Total failure).
But greek literature is pretty cool. Gotta admit that.

Looking good. Athens is looking really pretty. I will make it my ambition to visit some of the places shown in this video. The city deserves it's new and improved reputation. Yes, I love Athens.
So many colours too much contrast to these roads...so many things to see to learn and wonder!
Let's just be brutally Honest - on the average...the Greek People are very nice looking folk! Fit, well-dressed in a casual-elegant style. They look happy, calm, and content ...unpretentious unlike the British, and French. Contrast Athens with almost any US City, especially in states like Pennsylvania, Virginia - and ANYWHERE in the American South where - in the words of Colin Farrell, in the movie, "In Bruge" - "I mean, C'mon...Ya look like a bunch of Fuckin' Elephants!"

Was there last year in October only for a few day so was much busier ,love the area of Plaka much to see and plenty of restaurants with good food and drinks.Would love to go back and visit it more .Nice video to look back and see some of the places we visited .

That song is "Οδός ονείρων" and was composed by Manos Hatzidakis, but personally I prefer Giorgos Zambetas. For some more classical Greek tunes, you may also search for "Mikis Theodorakis".

My French friend translated it roughly for me. But basically they are just goofing around about the fact that they are unwillingly on camera, and are going to be on UA-cam as the guy holding the camera mentioned.

I live in Athens, and I'm not a big fan of this city
It's too dirty, full of graffiti and many places are thronged every day
I only like plaka because the rest of the city consists of ugly 60's and 70's apartment buildings
