    I wonder if the 7000 men of war are meant to be the same as the 7000 who haven't bowed their knees to Baal in 1Kings 19 as mentioned by God to Elijah?

    Err, to be fair, HE PICKED them. If they were not faithful, He knew that, going in, technically.
    And also, in 1 Kings 20:36, precisely who was, in the wrong there, and to what degree?
    I mean, the man who refused the request/demand (to 'smite me') would likely legitimately have been confused, and perhaps afraid of being manipulated improperly.
    So did he really, thereby, merit, having a lion set upon him, fatally, by a prophet-like character? At the time.
