    Number of views on that is criminally low, that's the best gate building video I've seen on UA-cam so far

    Love the brief on the board first. Some proper construction techniques and use of ordinary tools. Well done! Thank you.

    Great video, love to see how an arched top and center stile is made.

    Love the style of this video (and the choice of music). Compared to most vids I've seen on door builds, this is pretty complex and you're not 'just using hand tools'. I'd have to buy a router but I fortunately have a chop saw already - though I'll be doing it on the floor of my carport as i don't have that amazing bench facility. Also you say at the start that you'll be staining before assembly but you don't. Did you forget, couldn't be arsed or was there a reason? :-) Great vid and nice work.

    Great video and a beauty of a gate. What chisel do you recommend for doing this type of work?

    One of the best TGV gate videos Ive come across so far. Looking to do the exact same myself, thanks very much Andy for sharing, really enjoyable watch. Could I ask what type of router bit you used? Would you be worried about the sheeting expanding over time at all? Thanks again

    Thought you said at the beginning that you would stain it first before you put it together?

      Andy is a bit like that, always changing his mind.

    What size timber did you use Andy and is it treated for outdoors prior to fitting?

      We used 4x2 for all the frame and matchboard which I think was 8mmx 94mm, we did not use treated timber due to the customers budget so the gate was just stained for protection.

    Problem I've had with stuff like this is when drilling the mortice, I can't drill down perfectly square so the adjoining timber naturally then isnt square with the piece of timber it's joining to. Any advice on avoiding this issue?

    thought you were going to stain the boards before you fitted them -- just saying ;;;

    How to make a mortice and tenon gate using only hand tools 😂, very misleading , beautiful job though,a bit out of reach for the average DIY person I think, wouldn't have all the tools necessary.
