I love this two-part episode from season six. Darrin was tempted by power AND what it can do AND the result of what such power brings. Darrin, having come from humble beginnings, suddenly has almost unlimited power, no adjustment period. Unlimited power around Larry triggers his greed and is one reason why Sam's true nature had to be kept secret. It was Sam who jerked Darrin back to reality when he remembered what she told him her reasons for living in his world, her love for him and their family. Sam not only had to keep who she is away from being discovered from people like Gladys Kravutz and her own mother-in-law, but she had to step in to defend Darrin from her own family, with the exception of Aunt Clara. "Bewitched" was/is such a unique sitcom. It's more than that. Phyllis is a true hypochondriac. 🙂 The episode "Samantha's Double Mother Trouble" was directed by David White. He did a fine job.
First episode: Maurice did not like it when people said no to him.
