This lady is full of perfect senior quotes 😂👏 The beautiful, astounding, talent Joyce Didonato! I want to be just like you Joyce and I hope one day I can 🤞💙💙💙
I graduated from high school in 1981...LOL....so I'm not your primary audience. But now I teach university and I love the way you teach your masterclasses and the positive messages and encouragement that you send out into your sphere of influence, which is huge! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
Funny thing is: I am not a big "Being some celebrity's fan"-person. HOWEVER, I have the strong feeling, if I met you in person at some point in my life I would literally cry my eyes out and jump into the splits... probably twice or three times. I am an aspiring singer (low mezzo/contralto) and whenever I get exhausted and feel like I should give up already, I always end up watching one of your interviews, masterclasses or something on this channel. Then get up and go back to work. Your humility, intelligence and honesty give me hope. Thank you!
Joyce, you are such a positive, funny and inspirative human. Complete artist and person you are! Thank you for taking some of your precious time to share your wisdom with young people, like me who really needed this! Btw, I wanted to ask you one question, is it really necessary to have a vision at the age of 17 to be seen as a serious material, and possible to get accepted at the collage without a precisive plan about the future of my singing or Opera roles I see myself singing in. I adore Opera and i exercise and enjoy singing, and i know that i want to do something about it but I haven't figured out what exactly yet. I just want to live and let time show me the way.
I love you and especially love that you're so open and willing to do amazing things like this and Opera Rocks, and Masterclasses. You have taught me so much and truly inspired me to not only do music, but to live well. And puh-lease, that vocal-fry-kardashian-ish has got me rolling on the ground, lol, you're so hilarious.Thank you for putting your energy into what you love and encouraging us all to lift each other up.
Joyce, You have Totally inspired me to want to Try and better my voice, and even though I may not better it, just to Sing. I've admired the mezzo soprano/soprano voice for a while now.
Now that I've turnd forty and calmed down generally, I realize how excellent your advice for teens really is. I was so nervous as a teen, I'm surprised I didn't have heart attacks! When you were talking about auditions, I remember auditioning for The Music Man at my Baptist High School. First, the teachers 'kids were chosen. Then the seminary professor's children were chosen. Then the church members' children were chosen. Being persona non grata with nothing but good grades (and THEY don't matter!), I didn't have a prayer. The memory doesn't hurt anymore but at the time, it was a real eye-opener!
Dear, dear Joyce! I'm a retired brasilian professor at University. I'm Psychologist and Philosopher. I've found opera through you! Every time, at any presentation - and mainly, the masterclasses - I'm amazed by your strenght, vivaci, joy, good humor, generosity on sharing and really work WITH your singers. The respect you have to the other musicians, your good mood toward the group relation. I realized that we teach 'the same way' in our field, and it bringed me a great joy! Congratulations, you are a splendid person, concerned with more than the wonderfull world of music, but the whole forces fighting in our wolrd. Thank you!
After high school you realize the weird ones, the nerds and the individuals, the people who pursue the things they love, regardless of what others may think, become the most amazing and interesting people... And often the best friends... What a great video! I'm 31 and I haven't sung or had lessons since I was like 17... My mom wouldn't let me do a musical my senior year because I had to get a job. But seeing you do what you love and even watching you teach in your master class on line... Really makes me want to just take some voice lessons... Its such a beautiful thing to learn and perfect a song and I miss that.. What a great video... 💗💗
It was super helpful regardless of age ❤️ Thank you!
You are such a gift to this world dear Joyce DiDonato
