Fantastic video Gezza thanks 🙏
remember watching this - nice work Gezza
I just LOVE that song cannot get enough of it.
Mate, I'd shake your hand and buy you a beer for these memories! I was listening to the ABC coverage featuring Clarke Hansen and the dulcet tones of Douglas Bigelow amongst others. North were losing badly and even as an eleven year old kid, I couldn't contemplate another North grand final loss after '76. I had a real loathing of Don Scott! That day in 1977 became the day of days! Only to arrive home and discover the Roos had hit the front, Breidis had kicked seven behinds; all getttable, and Doug Gott had broken his leg which slowed up our momentum. Only to have Twiggy Dunne mark in the dying seconds. Siren and a draw! We fixed it all up the following week and Barassi, the club and players had delivered that glittering silver cup in our hands!
You forgot just before Twiggys mark, Peter Moore had a shot from about 10m out and missed. I know Phil Carmen has been made a scapegoat for Collingwood losing over the years but they should have won that first one. They dominated the year
I was there in the Southern stand with my old man( who played for the North Melbourne 2's in his day).
Terrific game.
I know you're a wobbler Gezza, but I have to say that denying them a GF is sweet.
collingwood have lost more grand finals than any other team,
i love it when collingwood choke....
Enjoy your welfare club. Had to cheat the system with Aylett’s support to win a flag. Nothing club supported by zerp fans. Enjoy your oblivion loser 🤣😂🤣🤣😂
🙏💪❤️ Gezza
1966 1 point 😊
Can you remember the Boys selling pies out of the boxes around their necks?
@@gorgen23 Not sure. probably late 80's when there was a look down on children's labour/working. Like paper-rounds also dropped.
One of first Grand Final's broadcast live in Victoria .
Not "one of the first" broadcast live, 'twas THE first ever televised G.F. Took Collingwood to do it....
First GF I went to
@@veganathpretty sure i watched it on a black and white tv from canberra 🐥 as a young 6 year old 📈 was absolutely sensational ☝️
Dear God, NOOO. The PTSD. The flashbacks. My thousand yard stare.
I was at this game (slept Monday night at Vic Park to get tickets) and as soon as siren went, me and a few mates drove straight out to Victoria Park, to put boxes in the queue for the replay tickets.!!!! Great times 77-81 to much heart ache...
