Outdoor Journal - Raising Walleye

It wasn’t that long ago that Lake Champlain was known for its fantastic walleye fishery. Whether it was overfishing or environmental impacts, the abundance of the number one game fish diminished tremendously during the 70’s. In 1984 the Lake Champlain Walleye Association was formed by a concerned group of anglers who had one goal in mind. And that was to bring back the walleye. Together with the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department the two organizations are making progress to restore the once famous walleye fishery back to its hey day.

we cant bring the lakes back to its former glory when you have tournaments with 100's of boats out fucking around and the super rich in their sporty boats etc.

There just bass fisherman...a lot of ppl who've lived on champlain there hole life view lake bass as almost invasive...wean the bass out get the salmon n walleye population back up ...bass r trash

Pretty easy to see why the numbers of walleye,are bad ,look how many he kept years ago !! Typical Yankee thank God I live in the USA
