To be clear, non-diabetics will fluctuate in blood sugar throughout the day but generally stay in range and quickly recover from carb consumption. In saying that, most people aren't exempt from sugar crashes after some delish pancakes or what I call "chip brain" after some yum fries. It can be helpful to do a few of the things in this video to keep blood sugar (and energy) from crashing so much from eating sugary, processed or carb-heavy foods in your days.
Has nothing to do with being neurodivergent and everything to do with willpower being limited and variable. I would argue that neurotypicals actually have a worse time with this than us.
Had a period of time where i couldn‘t afford dinner, only lunch, and let me tell you i was a walking zombie 🥲 and the hand trembles i got 😵💫 so yes to all of that! Food is fuel 🩷
The struggle is so real with chronic anemia. I have had to have weekly iron infusions for almost a year and will need one to two a month for the rest of my life. I do my best to stay busy, but rest too. Lost a ton of weight for unknown reasons. Living life to the fullest. Thank you for your time and videos!
Thank you, I'm starting to lose hope that I can get out of this exhaustion over here 😭 It's nice hearing what's worked for others and encouraging that some of what I thought could help wasn't just in my head.
I also follow my menstrual cycle in order to better manage my energy levels and activities my body can good perform. It helped me a lot. Folicular phase is high energy phase, great for new projects etc. ❤
This is actually so meaningful and impactful. I should invest more in nice loungewear. Because I wear such random thrifted mismatched stuff about 70% of the time and I feel like I have to scramble to look decent every time there is a knock on the door
Excellent video! Some more tips: Take time to do things you enjoy. Especially when you are busy, stressed, or have important commitments (whether it be work-related or other) it is necessary to have time for you. It helps to reduce stress, anxiety, and allows you to momentarily switch off. Whenever I have low energy, it's when I haven't taken time to relax and have fun. Check your nutrition. If you aren't eating well (lots of processed and 'unhealthy' foods, not eating enough, not hitting macros, calories are too low, etc.) it will have a huge impact. Also check if you have any nutrition problems...I have a dairy intolerance and I can tolerate small amounts of dairy. If I overconsume dairy, one of my biggest symptoms is fatigue. It takes weeks to start feeling better again. You may have intolerances/allergies/imbalances which are effecting your energy levels.
Another strange phenomena I find is the effect that listening to upbeat music has on my energy through affecting my mood. It’s like a form of escapism that lifts me out of a funk more often than not. I have a very aggressive form of endometriosis and have at 39 finally been told this is why I’ve felt exhausted since 12!
I’m much older than my 20’s and 30’s😅. Fun fact: a personal trainer has become instrumental in my self-care. Because they force you to think about yourself, what your body needs and what your mind needs, and you start putting those things into importance. For me, it needed the mind adjustment that I wasn’t in it for quick weight loss gains that lose permanency quick. I’ve been in it to set up healthy habits and routines for the rest of my life. 12 months so far, and while I’ve lost a lot of weight, I’ve also gained so much more energy, movement, happiness!!
I notice myself regulary playing your video's from a playlist without 100% listening (I have watched most of them anyway by now), just because your voice is calming and gives a nice easy flow to my work day. It keeps me from getting destracted (with music I intend to vibe with it and get off focus). I just wanted to share my appreciation. A lot of tips you have given really improved my life 🙂
I enjoyed this video and it was helpful. Thanks for that you did not make it long because you managed to say all important advices in that short time frame! Usually people who feel overwhelmed and think/feel that they don't have enough time to watch self - help videos, don't even watch such videos... Cause most vlogers make them extremely and not needed long... So i would like to thank you that you did it short for us ❤
My biggest energy drainer is excessive amount of carbs, followed by lack of working out, dehydration, lack of time to unwind and finally enough sleep, or at least quality sleep.
Really loved those videos and the fact that even giving food advice you didn’t fall into the diet talk. I have always liked the content you make but I genuinely LOVED the last few videos you published!! Would you do something about how to fight winter blues? 🙈
I thought I was on zero percent last week and then I ended up in the ER. I have never been this tired in my life. (I'm okay, as far as that goes. I had a seizure but we're pretty sure we know exactly what happened and I'm seeing a specialist Friday to be safe. It's just very stressful and exhausting.)
i feel like my exhaustion is just self induced, i've tried various things but generally, i'm 'immune' alr~ till now i dont think anything works. I just want to lie down and pass out.
When doing something for 1st time why do i feel Nervous or Doubt myself especially in past few years after some setbacks ? Especially in job interview, learning new things & proving myself..How to face the Uncertainty & win with a plan of action without Stressing under pressure ? Are there any Top books that talks about its solutions...
Our brain likes routine and does not like trying new things. We start to doubt ourselves after a lot of setbacks and negatively self-talk which can get us into a spiral and that’s when we find it difficult to start. From experience start with one thing. So if your focus is a new job, apply for lots of jobs to get experience at job interviews and you will feel more comfortable with them. Take deep breaths and enjoy the journey, you’ll get there. Take one small step and another. Good luck!
#yourclothes Hi. :) you always wear such great tops where you don't wear a bra underneath - can you tell me where you got them from? They look so comfortable - also because of the fabric. That would be great
"high protein breakfast" when you're French and all you eat for breakfast is made of sugar 😶 (no we don't eat croissants every day 😂 but I'm not used to eat eggs for example)
Hmm ~ I get bad sugar crashes / pasta crashes sans diabetes, though I’m sure some people don’t experience that - do you think it could change from person to person depending even in people without diabetes? I once read a greaaat study about people who were told that they were drinking a “healthy” milkshake and didn’t experience any spike in blood sugar vs people who drank the same milkshake and were told it was a decadent, sugary milkshake and had massive spikes in blood sugar so I wonder if that ties in at all. I’m interested!
Disagree - for example, low blood sugar levels directly contribute to your mood ("hanger" signals to you that you need food). If you have a high sugar food item, it absolutely will impact your blood sugar, regardless of whether your pancreas functions well or not (it's to do with how quickly the food you are eating releases glucose into your bloodstream, as opposed to how fast your pancreas deals with it. The more simple sugar it is, the faster it is released. The crash comes following that). I recommend reading The Glucose Goddess' work to understand more.
@@muchellebI’ve seen a study presented that what affects you bloodsugar might be different from person to person whether that’d be rice, bread or icecream. Think you can find it on youtube because the researchers presented it in a ted talk
Uuugh. It all sounds genuine…till they put advertisements in the middle. That’s what’s so draining. I want help but all people want to do is make a buck.

for all my ND besties: decision fatigue is very real and 100% translates into physical fatigue.
Has nothing to do with being neurodivergent and everything to do with willpower being limited and variable. I would argue that neurotypicals actually have a worse time with this than us.
I also want to add, that under eating will make you feel super tiered. So it's important to eat as many calories as you expend to feel your best.
Yess, super important.

i love the idea of 2-3 mins of walking around after a meal: genius. i get sooo sleepy after i eat...
Me tooooo!! It really does help.
I did too and I found out I have celiac disease. The tiredness was my only symptom after eating gluten. Maybe check it out?

It's nice hearing what's worked for others and encouraging that some of what I thought could help wasn't just in my head.
Things that have helped my energy levels: walking on my treadmill (any exercise can work really), drinking more water, taking vitamins, certain foods.
I also follow my menstrual cycle in order to better manage my energy levels and activities my body can good perform. It helped me a lot. Folicular phase is high energy phase, great for new projects etc. ❤

my reason for fatigued was under eating and over exercising, i forgot how important it is to nourish your body while you do movement.
