Forget the quality of the swimwear... it's so revealing (and see-through too, because a handful of fabric wasn't enough to make you feel as exposed as you could possibly get..), that you practically don't even need to wear it... what's the point?... I think that porn stars are more conservative with their swimwear...

All swimsuits are inexpensive to make. The material costs almost nothing. It’s not like designer clothing that uses fine fabrics. They’re all Lycra and polyester.

The main problem is, it's Kylie Jenner. By selling it off season and making poor quality products now, people will start complaining about the swimsuits and many others will come to know about it because of the "hate". Then, right when it's time for spring and summer, they'll start making good quality swimsuits, which people will go crazy over and overhype it. This so called "improvement" will intrigue people to buy from it more. This is exactly what Kylie did with her lip kits and makeup. Strategy 100.
Because it's someone as popular as Kylie Jenner, her name alone is enough for people to buy whatever she sells. Alas brand name wins over quality once again. Gotta love capitalism🙂

It genuinely frustrates me how so many people buy into the Kylie hype. Her lip kits were marketed by denying fillers, and quite frankly the £3 Tesco bikini I bought a decade ago looks the same quality as these. Anyone notice the colour discrepancies too?
If Kylie respected her fans, she wouldn't sell such poor quality rubbish. It's quite evident that the entire family only care about increasing their wealth, and I think it's a shame that people support them.

I am a fashion merchandiser and I can assure you that there was little to no work put into this collection. Like nobody ordered for fabric quality check, nobody made a fitting check, nobody did final inspection of the ready good and basically there's very poor R&D done by her team. She needs to understand that she's not Tana Mongeau and her price points are definitely up there.
She probably also made a huge profit from just these influencers buying for review because the raw materials are that cheap. Also please don't go by what she wears. Special samples are made for celebrities with their specific measurements so don't go by how it fits on Kylie. It's not gonna look the same.
Also don't look down on products just because they're made in China. This country can actually get whatever quality of product you need. If you need cheap product they'll do that and if you need high quality product they'll do exactly that. They're very efficient and good with meeting client requirements. A lot of designers and labels manufacture their products in China and it comes out well.

controversial observation: all of the photos of the products shown that came from the brand look poorly photoshopped as if the models (other than kylie) weren't really wearing these suits.

I know one of the things which celebs do is buying clothes in a size which fits them at their largest size and have them tailored to fit them correctly. Double sided fashion tape is definitely utilized in a ton of stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if the models have custom ones and ones with extra covering

I mean it's a win win for everyone, Kylie gets her money from influencers, their viewers are saving money by not buying it, and Tina gets views (aka more money)
They definitely had a special one made for Kylie, more high quality and tailored to her measures. Feels kinda scammy, tbh. I mean, they're not cheap, but they are made very cheaply.
Marketing tactics. They purposely botched the 1st collection AND made money out of it, by charging those prices.
Then on the 2nd collection it would be better quality. Because Kylie would say "We listen to the feedback. We value our customers." And some PR nonsense and deceptively gain trust again.
Or this is a one off thing. Where they buy bulk of crappily made products, market it at a premium and just ran with the money.
Like the other "influencers", eg Trisha and Tana.

I’ve heard that she has dropped them in winter and in very bad quality on purpose to get people talking about it heaps (let’s be honest, outrageous or rip off items get a lot more viral then good value high quality items) and then she’s going to release a “revamped version” for next summer which is the proper collection with good quality or something & make a big deal of “listening to everyone’s concerns”
Apparently it’s a money making marketing scheme? I don’t know much about it or about kylie’s products but apparently she did the same thing with one of her makeup products & everyone thinks she’s doing it again with this line… it’ll be interesting to see if she does realise a good quality remake closer to summer. It doesn’t seem like a very smart thing to do to me plus it’s SO bad for the environment & so wrong to make people waste money like that if it is true but she probably doesn’t worry about that stuff haha

I have spent $80 on a swimsuit before, but it’s a beautiful quality bikini with an actual wired bra style top in a plus size. I’ve had it for years. These look like they’re made from the fabric equivalent of tissue paper 😂
On the orange one piece the folds on top of the cups don't even line up and with the pictures on the site the material looks a lot better than it actually is. Just why?
It looks almost like they bought them on wish, slapped her name on them, and had "good" ones made for her and the models. In some of the pics they clearly have more seams, and better quality fabric and cut, than the product they are delivering.

I honestly think that Kylie and team are wearing the same style of swimwear as what was sold to millions just very different fabric and likely more thickness.
A few people have said that, they absolutely would have made them better quality for Kylie and the models.
For fashion brand, photo shoot samples might be adjusted for better looking effects on models. I am not surprise if Kylie and the models wore better bikinis - in terms of fabric, size, sewing - than the mass production ones.
