Thanks:-) The ship has a draft of 8 m and the river is dammed for the transfer. A barrier was built near the city of Emden (Gandersum) for the overpasses. The cruise ships have to travel about 40km across the Ems River
Excellent video of one of these Meyer Werft ships going down the Ems. Also excellent combination of drone shots and close ups giving time to appreciate the design and colours of probably what I would consider to be one of the more attractive of these mega cruise ships which are now taking over from all of the previous ships of the past. And lots of opportunities to get great angles and close ups during your filming which keeps the interest. I don't have these different angle opportunities where I film the cruise ships coming to and departing from the Outer Harbor in Adelaide. I also recognise the beautiful terrain of this green farming area because I am from Groningen in Holland and if I were living there I certainly would be making the effort to film these ships exiting the Meyer Werft like what you have done. So I can imagine that I am filming this as I watch your video. So thank you for that.
That was excellent, thank you. Meyer must have reached their width limit now, that was a very tight squeeze getting out of the dock. You drone pix really show the size of the ship in relation to the river width, great!!
Thanks for watching:-) yes they reach size limit in Papenburg, so they buy a shipyard in turku finland, Where they build the "icon of the seas" the worlds biggest cruise ship
Todays tug boats are so advanced. Strange to see one pushing sideways. The adaptor for pushing on the front of ship is cool. Such a sound the ships horn has.
Was ist daran denn beautyfull?
Unfortunately one of the last ships from the Meyer shipyard, the company is on the verge of going bankrupt, they cannot compete with Frangktijk and Italy, trade unions have made wages too expensive.
This is amazing! How far of a journey from ship yard to ocean? Reminds me of the first Queen Mary and her journey from John Brown to the ocean via the Clyde.

Was kommt als nächstes? Ein ausklappbares Riesenrad! Idiotisch
Great video, thanks for posting. Cruise ships must have a really shallow draught to transit down the River Ems.
Thanks:-)

Hard to believe that narrow area is nearly 30 ft deep. Amazing footage, thanks for sharing.
Thanks:-)
Amazing video. Love the sound of the ship horn. Amazing to see how these small tug boats manoeuvre these giants of the seas 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
Thanks:-)

Thank you very much
Amazing! i will look our for this amazingship arriving in Key West sometime in the future on their cam(one of my favourite cama)

Very good Cruise.
my son also works on the Carnival Jubilee ship... always success for the Carnival Jubilee... the ship is very big...
I can’t wait until I sail on it in January.
How something the big can float on water. Amazing!!!!

Nice video
Thanks:-)
The ships are so big they are so beautiful

Get that Sumbeach over here! I'm on the second sailing over New Years.

They chose a day with little wind. This must be important.

Thanks vlado my friend:-)
I’m not a fan of the big mega ships but this one is handsome.
This was the most boring video I have ever seen, however, I could not stop watching the tugs doing their job. Absolutely amazing!
I bet when they started building boats there they didn't imagine something this big.

CARNİVAL CUTED AT İZMİR ALİAĞA......TURKEY.....
Tiye.
Vacations are unnecessary. UA-cam is unnecessary.
Does not look naturally stable.
The excellence class is one of the most stable class of ships at sea.
She's not the ugliest new cruise ship, the latest MSC ones, for one, are a lot worse, I will say that
